Windows Vista/7 dropped DirectSound hardware acceleration

Have there been any new developments on this or updates? I am looking forward to it being merged with the master. This boost really helps a lot by squeezing those last few fps from my aging i5 2500 processor and making for a smoother experience. Smile
I am still alive, i am focusing on some flaws in regards to the way the Wii GPU is emulated.

And it is teasing time Smile

I killed the per pixel depth option, because now, the fast depth is always accurate ( still working on some code that have shown to be incorrect but without no one noticing ) :

blue tint in metroid fmv fixed : http://galop1n.imgur.com/all/

Mario Tennis and Golf : No more spiky triangles ( hot fix, need a little more code to emulate the real feature behind it ), small hack to improve the zfighting a lot (need zfreeze for real fix ), and work on missing lighting ( that one use invalid lighting state, by trial and error, i have a result near to the real Wii but that's not viable, we need to reverse what happens really ).

And for the moment, i am working at fixing the depth story ( the first t)
Wow, promising stuff there... those spiky spikies are as old an issue as Dolphin it seems ^^
Thanks for the update galop1n!

So, is anyone working on zfreeze, or is that possibly related to the work you are doing or could you perhaps look into it?

Wow. Between fixing fast depth and the timestone glitch Skyward Sword will be a different game. Great work.
Great work galop1n. I am especially excited to see the graphical issues in Mario Tennis resolved. I've been waiting to properly play this game in Dolphin for a while now. Hope that this stuff can be merged into master eventually. Keep it up.
Wow impressive. So it seems this will not only bring speed back to what it was with D3D9 it will also fix some graphical issues. All these recent improvements cause me angst not being able to use my i7 to test with and being stuck with an E7500. Sad
I got ride of the Zelda time stone effect bug and improve the z fighting on it too : http://imgur.com/a/Y4R2h#0

It is sad also that the glow effect is a bit more jaggy with MSAA but that's not a red flag anymore.

Is there an expected time frame for when we can have the latest build with these fixes? I am really looking forward to this! Smile
