I want to preface this by saying that this texture pack is focusing on the City Trial portion of the game, and I have no plans to do the other modes.

Features:
- 4x texture resolution increase
- Fixed texture clipping
- Original art style of the game left unaltered

NOTE: As of the 0.4.2 release, if you don't use development builds of Dolphin, texture accuracy MUST be set to SAFE. If you do not do this, the texture pack will not work correctly.

I'm all for a project like this, I really enjoyed the clean art style and the higher resolution really plays into it.

I really love this game and I'm excited to see that this is in the works. Everything so far looks pretty good, although the timer numbers look a little rough around the edges. I look forward to seeing this progress.
Is development on this project dead? Because I play KAR all the time, and these Hi-Res textures look simply sublime.

As baby said, the black borders on the timer numbers look a tinge thin. And the head of the battery for Charge is smaller than it was. But other than that, I'm very eager to see where this project will go and will always use this texture pack whenever I play.

Development is still going on, I've made some decent progress since I posted the download for v0.2.5. I would release what I have now, but I have to go through and find everything again. When re-installing Windows, I accidentally formatted my storage drive. I'm able to recover files from it fine since I made sure nor the system can write anything to the drive. Only problem is some of the folder structures got corrupted, so the textures can't just be all there. I found all of them, but I don't know which ones are my HD textures, and which are the originals and which are ones I haven't used yet. So I have to take the time to go through all of them and find the ones I want, which I haven't done yet since that is going to be a very annoying process.

I do plan to continue development on this project, though updates will take a while for me to release. Thanks for the compliments and criticisms, I'll look into the timer and charge textures and change them. On the subject of a new update, however, I will definitely release an update with all my new textures as soon as I can organize everything again.

Another note I would like to add is that I'm pretty sure that the green part of the Turn and the blue part of the Defense are too thin.

Any plans to do the rest of the textures for City Trial? HD machines would be awesome...
Alright, it's been a long time since I last updated anything about this HD texture project or the thread itself, so I thought I'd give a little update on my current progress. I'm sure anyone who came across this thread thought the project (and me along with it) was dead, so this update was much needed.

I've pretty much got all of the textures found and sorted out (~95% of them), if you're wondering how I "lost" them, scroll up to see my previous post about it. I'd like to have most, if not all, of the HUD and Menu categories listed in the planned section of the OP completed, so the next update won't be released immediately. I have begun working on this project again, so the next update should be out soon-ish. If I feel that I am taking too long with the HUD and Menu textures, I'll go ahead and release what I currently have finished.
