I want to run SMG at 720p, nothing else, or fancy.
480p is just fine, as well.

Here are my specs:

Intel Core i5-4670k @ 4.2 GHz
AMD Radeon HD 8970 1GB @ 1.1 GHz
8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR-1600 DDR3 RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Should definitely be more than enough. Just make sure to use the latest development versions of the emulator - while the audio won't be perfect with it, it will require way less CPU power to run at 100% speed.
720p? You probably could go up to 1080p if not higher. You shouldn't be GPU limited at all.
Just dumped SMG from my Wii copy, it's actually working quite well. The audio is nice and smooth, but I can hear audio studdering every once in a while.

I'm using a Wii mote + Nunchuk, and Dolphin seems to run faster with a Wii mote pairedl
My current settings:
4x anti aliasing and anisotropic filtering
1080p
Wide screen Hack

For some people with similar specs who want to record:
Use following settings

720p, 2x anisotropic, AA

I have used the following to make a video running at a full 60fps in SMG 1&2
