Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour works very well with version 3.0-324 besides some minor graphic glitches (ingame), but audio still needs a lot of work. The widescreen hack works perfectly in this game!

I took some screenshots of the glitches:

Menu glitch #1: http://www.abload.de/img/gftp01-4rzkgy.png
Menu glitch #2: http://www.abload.de/img/mariogolf029iaqo.jpg
Strange lines: http://www.abload.de/img/mariogolf044lbd3.jpg
Heavy texture error (strangely, this only happens at Blooper Bay): http://www.abload.de/img/mariogolf01y5bqz.jpg (the game continued working as always)

Settings:
OpenGL
Fullscreen 1920x1080
V-Sync

4x native (2560x2112)
AA and AF disabled (I don't see a difference even when I set this to 16x)
Scaled EFB copy enabled
Per-Pixel-Lighting enabled

EFB copies: texture
Texture cache: fast
Widescreen hack enabled
Yep, those are the issues the games has. There is no way to solve that as of now.
Audio is perfect, you just have to use LLE and not the hacked up HLE audio backend. I really wish someone would spend some time with this game and take care of these gfx issues once and for all.

This is the first game i've tired to play with this emulator. I fear it is a major sign of things to come with all gamecube/wii games running on this emulator. Graphical errors, game freezing, sound problems, all standard for emulation. Which is alright, emulators are always a work in progress. It's just silly that the main page for the emulator says "Most games run perfectly or with minor bugs" which is a giant, giant leap. No need to make false claims like that, it's the best (maybe only) GC/Wii emulator around, just say what it is, a work in progress.
There are a lot of games that are basically perfect if it makes you feel better XD
He's right. It's clear, that all games won't run perfectly, Dolphin is not a real Wii/GC Wink
@ropeadope : You're unlucky. You chose a game that has never worked fine on Dolphin. Try other games that work "perfectly" before judging this great emulator. You'll be really surprised Smile

And as @DefenderX said :
Quote:Dolphin is not a real Wii/GC Wink
@ropeadope: Yeah, you've had an unlucky pick there. There are actually a lot of games which work perfectly and even more which only have very little flaws which don't really spoil the fun.
Check out the compatibility list in the wiki http://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Main_Page
Four stars is mostly enough to be able to enjoy a game.
ropeadope: You should try to be in a place longer than 5 minutes before bad-mouthing the site and the emulator, especially when you have no clue about anything. It doesn't exactly make you look good in any way.

I'm not bad mouthing the emulator (or the site o_O). The emulator didn't fall short on my expectations at all. Emulators aren't easy to make, for sure. Just saying the claim that "Most games run perfectly" is a false and unnecessary statement to make. PSX emulators have been around forever and it's almost impossible to play through a PSX game on an emulator and not run into some big issues along the way. Always going to be that way. Way too many variables involved for everything to work exactly right. And the same is to be said for most emulators.

But anyways, I am looking forward to playing some other games on Dolphin in the future. My Wii doesn't like gamecube games for some reason.
