I also found that running the game without a framelimit will always make the sound go faster than the game now, while trying to set up a new save to attempt to reproduce the bug.
Zelda HLE is now synchronous like all other audio.
Disable the frame limit and watch the opening movie to a new file in Wind Waker. The music finishes far before the movie does.
Unable to reproduce. Works fine for me running at 600+ FPS here.
Just finished playing a little SMG. I started a new game and the speed is a good deal better. The bowser music when they are stealing the castle (you will remember it as the priate ship music from super mario 3): some of the notes are off pitch.

Additionally the first spinning travel star you encounter, when you use it, the sound effect is off. Not the right key and a little muffled.

All other travel stars I used were fine and I had no issues with pull stars.
Audio crash again. This time, after finishing forsaken fortress, during the cutscene of Ganon surrounded by fire. Lost my progress again (black screen after the cutscene, probably because of the widescreen cheat)

Oh, yeah, I completely forgot to mention that I'm using the widescreen cheat in these tests. That's probably a massive contributing factor.
What version of Dolphin are you using? I can't get the audio crash, or the audio desyncing with frame limiter off during the opening cutscene. Can you provide any more details?
I was using 1306, but, this latest crash was with 1312.

I am using the widescreen cheat provided by the wiki page, and no other cheats (nor any patches).

The audio crash seems to happen most often in times of heavy slowdown, similar to before the merge.

The audio desynchronization, well... When I turn off the limiter, the frame rate doesn't exceed 61. Probably more hearable then.

The specific audio crash which I just experienced happened about a second after the switch from looking at King of Red Lions to looking at Ganondorf surrounded by fire. My FPS drops to exactly 27 at this moment. The cutscene didn't properly end when this happened, and I ended up with a black screen.

If you need my settings, I'm afraid I'll be unable to post them due to internet speed/connectivity issues I've had lately.
I'm sorry you're having so many problems, but the thing is that I literally cannot reproduce any of the crashing issues you're having, which makes it extremely hard for me to test and find a test case. I wish I could help you, but I don't have a CPU slow enough to actually max out my CPU thread as I'm playing.

Really old/slow computers seem to be having crashes, but until we can track down the issue, I'm not going to write anything yet. I do believe it's a CPU thread slowdown, though. We'll figure it out in due time!
I've tried testing 1304 and it was horrible, I mean SMG2 was stuttering and I can barely keep up with steady framerates, even in less taxing parts such as the intro. Music and effects are massively effected and I used same settings as 1302. I don't know what changes was done on this build. For me 1302 is working wonders for me on this game for now.
