Here are my findings for SMG2:
Full audio+sfx all the time. Incredible work! guys =)
However a few issues I encountered:
1) Music sounds lower than sfx, sometimes the sfx are really loud than everything else LoL (especially when blasting off stars)
Tested on first world and also going back to the bullet bills stage as well.
2) When fps dips I get crackling music (must be due to my hardware?) but smooths out when running 60fps
3) Also, I noticed that in this particular build I am getting very high fps (VPS goes as much as 120%!!) which makes the game and music go really fast, then dips down back to around 60fps normally. Is there any way to stabilize the sporadic fps? Or is this caused due to me using OpenGL instead of using D3D?
Other than those little issues, everything else is fine. I will continue testing more in this particular game though.
OH GOD, IT'S HAPPENING!!!!!
I did test Mario Galaxy and Mario Galaxy 2 and both works without sound gone!!!! many sounds are to loud but it's OK!
Thank you so much to make this happen!!!! i can finally play this games in 1080p 3XIR without make a overclock!!!!
Tested Pikmin Wii. Still some pitch and volume issues, but not as bad as it used to be. Still, the opening "Pikmin!" is not as cute when it's
PIKMIN!. There were also pitch issues when the pods descend.
shuffe2 Wrote:Is it even using HLE? Maybe it's falling back to dolphin's rom stub.
Nope. Definitely using HLE.
[Edit] Solved: I've stabilized FPS by switching the Framelimit to Audio instead of Auto, now FPS is marking 59-60fps, very nice.
Tested Four Sword Adventures. Minor volume and pitch issues there too. And a weird thing, where when the track goes quieter (from the vaati energy things at the end of every level, specifically the beach level) the music track slowed down. My speed was full and the rest of the game was playing and sounding at fullspeed, so it was definitely... odd. Surely it isn't supposed to do that...
Edit: FSA is missing muffling+reverb while in caves and stuff (while the "GBA" is up) when using HLE. Not sure what to think of that, but whatever.
Edit again: Tried FSA on the beach again with LLE, and the weird slowing down occurs. It was intended. Odd.
Edit some more: Windwaker is still missing reverb effects with HLE. We can definitely add to the official problems list that games are still missing reverb and muffle effects.
Edit the lengths I go through to avoid double posting: Tried TP Wii. Definitely some volume problems. One of the instruments in the music in Link's village is louder than it should be, giving the whole area a very odd sound. There are some SERIOUS distortions in the Twilight Realm cinematic that I was testing with. The music was so loud it was distorting. Bleck. And there was no reverb at all in Twilight. While running around Twilight the distortion wasn't as bad, but volume levels were definitely off. With it as severe and easy to get to as this, this twilight realm cinematic might be good for volume testing whenever someone wants to fix that.
Wind Waker experienced a weird audio crash (I call it such because it just becomes silent) when I use EFB to RAM. I have fixed it by using EFB to texture. (possibly related to previously-demonstrated memory issues with my own machine?)
Otherwise, I'd say that this is pretty much LLE now, but without making me want to puke from the stuttering, and with everything abnormally much louder. Balancing is fine, but everything, in general, is just louder.
I've tested a few games, and sequenced music still comes across as mono instead of stereo.
I updated the main post for people; please keep up the excellent work! If I missed any issues, give me some time, I just woke up.
Strange issues with SMG 1&2, Pikmin Wii&GC, Z:WW and Z:TP Wii. Change the graphics backend to OpenGL. SMG and Pikmin won't run at any speed faster than 100% if you set the framelimiter higher, but when you set the limiter above 100%, the pitch will change by that amount. e.g. changing the framelimit to 120 will make the pitch an octave higher, no matter what speed the game is playing at. The pitch change also happens with the Zelda games, but the game will run faster than 100%. This doesn't happen with Sunshine. I haven't tested any games other than the seven I listed.
moosehunter: It's likely a vsync problem on your computer, I don't think it's an issue with this merge.
