Xevalio: FYI, whether or not you think Dolphin really needs a higher GPU clockspeed, it's been shown quite often that forcing the GPU to full clockspeeds for Dolphin gives a rather sizable performance boost. The common theory (or at least *my* crackpot theory) is that it's GPU processing latency and CPU/GPU memory transfer latency, not GPU processing throughput, that bottlenecks Dolphin.

If your OS is up to date this won't help. Win8/8.1 come ready right out of the box and vista/7 have both been updated to schedule the threads on alternating cores first so that resources aren't shared unless necessary.

Clock rate would impact gpu throughput and latency but not memory transfer latency. If the increased clockrate is helping (which it does) then one of those two has to be responsible for it. Latency being the more likely.
