Full Version: OpenGL or D3D for Radeon?

Theoretically, which should run faster, OpenGL (with vertex hack enabled) or D3D? I have an MSI Radeon HD 7770. From testing myself I can't notice a huge difference so I am wondering which should run faster in theory. Thanks
Both of them will run at almost the same speed. Remember that AMD GPUs don´t support VSH...

I didn't know that but thanks for the info. One of them has to have a slight edge over the other, that's what I'm wondering.
Well, that edge could be the pinned memory implemented for OGL on recent AMD GPUs/drivers.
I can answer with pretty much 100% accuracy. D3D. Radeons do not like OpenGL as much at this point in Dolphin's development.
