I would say Kronos and MS are talking. API's don't literally talk.
This presentation will talk about stuff that already exists and that our GL developers are well aware of.

Minus the Direct3D part, which I'm really looking forward to. I don't recall any actual plans w.r.t. Direct3D 12 being announced publicly so far.
