The difference is night and day.
Honestly what the hell is Microsoft thinking? They're trying to sell inferior hardware for $100 more, and blowing up in their faces.
Sony was the one who made a huge mistake last gen with the price of the PS3, and people were asking why should I pay more for the Sony system? Now the tables are turned.
Even though the PS4 and Xbone have similar specs, the PS4 does have an advantage in terms of raw power.
Also, the eSRAM in the Xbone to supplement the 8 GB of DDR3 RAM is very small, at 32 MB. There's not enough space to hold all the graphics in there, even though its very fast. Which is why the PS4 has overall faster performance with the straight 8 GB of DDR5 RAM.

I wanted to post that

My dream: All JRPGs go to PCs, with Linux support of course :p
Until then...
We've all known this since they released the specs almost a year ago OP. 50% faster GPU, twice the memory bandwidth, and more usable memory. What did you expect? Due to the cost of kinect microsoft can't sell the xbox one at the same price as the ps4 or they would lose far too much money per sale. And their investors are pushing them so hard to break into the "casual market" (a.k.a. the wonderful business strategy of trying to sell video games to demographics that don't buy video games) that they have no choice but to try to push kinect on the market.
But as other have said all of this is pointless to talk about since most members of this forum are part of the pc master race and therefore do not concern themselves with the squabbling of peasants.
We only squabble with other members of the master race.
Xbone has clouds therefore its better.

TBH this is a comparison on a game that was optimized for PS4 and is developed in Japan. Not exactly fair.
I agree that XB1 has a worse GPU than the PS4, but this specific case is likely more a case of game engine optimization.
Sure, optimization.
That excuse may for a non x86 Platform, like the WiiU, but not for something like the PS4/Xbone which are totally based on the "most devs are already experienced with this" x86 Platform.
Anyways, I totally bet that the Xbone port will be lower res but higher Framerate and the Ps4 will be higher res and lower framerate, as with all games.
