What? I've never once seen a single problem in software renderer.

F-Zero GX and Fortune Street both didn't play in Software Renderer until fairly recently.
On top of that, the map doesn't draw in Harvest Moon: Magical Melody while it does in both D3D and OpenGL within Tev Fixes New (which doesn't fix it in software renderer!)
It also doesn't draw tiles in NES games, which isn't a problem in the hardware video backends.

Until recently I wasn't able to get a single game to run on software renderer without giving me a black screen, white screen, or major flickering.

ok, who spammed software? :p

A little late to the party? Neobrain specifically said he altered the results to reflect the true ratio of SW renderer supporters (and it's probably very accurate, if a little conservative in my opinion, should be higher).

That said, if you could not get a single game to show anything usable at all - you're either exaggerating or there's something severely broken with it specifically on your setup...

I tried it on multiple systems and on all of them every game was unplayable. This was back with dolphin 3.0 though.

Are you sure you didn't just give up before it rendered the first frame that wasn't completely black? Or did you have hw rasterizer on? That has never properly output video (but is still useful when you want > 1 fps, and don't need to see what's happening).

Turning hw rasterizer on made it worse. Instead of a garbled mess it just gave me a black screen in every game.
