With your skill you should easily be able to land a programming job or a video game QA job (try Bethesda, you're probably smarter than their whole QA team) (also, hint, don't report bugs that might be useful for TAS).

I guess you haven't seen much of the code i write. I've never done any coding outside of dolphin. It's bad, and only works because i know how to google, and i have tons of time to test a million things until something happens to work.

If you want my life's story about how i'll never amount to anything, and how even a job playing video games would be too hard for me, feel free to ask in the random thread, or somewhere else more appropriate than this. If not, the short version is that i can't, and never will be able to. Sometimes some people just get screwed in life, and there's nothing they can do. You can't solve every problem with hard work, or clever thinking, no matter how much you wish you could.

I've been a long-time viewer of Dolphin's forums and development, but never registered until today. After reading your comment, I felt compelled to reach out and say a few words.

I too was dealt a tough hand in life. I started my life by being stuck in public housing when I was a child, and up until 18 years old I had 0 dollars to my name, no want or need for college, and no real passion. My mom was a single mother and lived paycheck to paycheck. Often times, we wouldn't have food to eat. My grandfather passed away around this time, and my fundamental reasoning for life changed.

I'm 23 now. I'm an assistant manager at Target for 25 hours a week (part-time), and am doing 17 credits in my 4th year of college. When I finish this degree (Technical communications, minor in internet infrastructure), I already have a corporate job awaiting me. I also have a two-year degree in Computer Networking and got A+ certified via CompTIA. I forced myself to get up and work hard, to make something for myself and be respectable. I haven't had a weekend off in 4 years.

Enough of me, though.

The point I'm making is hard work and knowledge are the fundamental ways to obtain things in this life. Whatever the problem you having, there are ways around it. Life is absolutely not easy, and perhaps you just need some light at the end of that tunnel to motivate you. I promise you, with enough hard work and dedication to anything, you can become who you want to be.

I'm glad it worked for you, but you're dead wrong. This is what i was talking about, not making assumptions. You have no idea what other people go through, so you shouldn't make assumptions that just because you can do something, that doesn't mean everyone else can.

But again, this is the wrong place for this discussion, so if you want to hear about me, ask in the random thread, in delfino plaza.
Yeah, this thread was derailed quite a bit thanks to an unneeded comment about what a productive use of time is. Yes, I actually can afford a new monitor, but mine works perfectly fine and I'm waiting for the right monitor to come out for my needs before I upgrade. *When* I do, I'll be getting a 1440p Korean IPS monitor, but the response times are not to my liking right now (typically 8 ms). In the mean time, I try to run most things I stream at 1280x720 windowed as it allows me to stream at a standardized definition and also have enough room in my small screen real estate to read the chat.

That's pretty much it. I've tried a few different ways to achieve this, but it doesn't seem physically possible in Dolphin.

I thought you were using one of those korean 1440p IPS monitors?

I am. I have two monitors, obviously.
So then why say that you're using a crappy 1600 x 900 monitor because you can't afford anything better when in actuality you already have something better that you're using?

Because i don't have anything better to replace the second one. If i had the money, i'd get a second 1440p.
