maybe someday Dolphine team will do the same miracle Wink

You realize the difference in specs between the DS and GC/Wii? The same "miracle" can only happen with much more powerfull phones.
I dont think Gamecube emulation is as difficult as everyone thinks.
My old core 2 duo 1.2 GHZ with its wildly out of date Geforce card seems to run every game flawlessly at 720p.

If you keep the games at native resolution and enable speed hacks then I really can't see why the more power devices releasing this year won't be able to handle it.

Keep in mind also that the android build is in its infancy and the PC version is quite stable + had many years of fine tuning.

If the devs keep up the pace then I wouldn't be suprised to see select playable games this year.
So, you´re expecting that just because any actual ARM processor will have the same Dolphin performance as any computer CPU? Pretty dumb in my opinion.

(Keeps reading the reply) Now wondering why your "old" processor can run games flawlessly... And yes, GC emulation is pretty difficult... more than you think.

I understand that it will be quite a task but this android version is coming from a team that did amazing work and made one of the most compatible, fast, and feature rich PC emulators out there.

This isnt blind hope , android has potential and this very early version is running some games at 1/3 the actual speed.

Arm processors are low power and their drivers are a mess - they can not by any means be compared to PC chipsets.

I expect similar specced Arm processors to output about 1 tenth of the processing power and this should be enough if the emulator is well coded.

Since you were wondering I am using this PC for Gamecube emulation.

Intel Core 2 Duo 1.2ghz
4gb ddr2 ram 800mhz
Geforce M310
Take a look at this in depth Arm vs x86 chip comparason.
This shows us that arm processors in current devices are half as powerful as their comparable PC counterparts. "http://www.notebookcheck.net/SoC-Shootout-x86-vs-ARM.99496.0.html"
The only real reson this emulator can not run well at the moment is due to poorly constructed drivers for these devices.
Qualcom will do nothing but improve however and when they do then we will see greater speed improvements.
