This problem happens with both HLE and LLE. Sometimes right away, or sometimes after a while, audio popping at a seemingly fixed interval sets in. These are just little pops which appear at different volumes and at different 'locations' in the audio channels, at maybe an interval of 3 seconds. SWetting framelimit to audio fixed it, mostly. I would however still like to know what causes this.

My specs:
Processor: i7 4770k @ 3,5-,9
GPU: MSI GTX 760 Twin Frozzr OC
6 GB RAM
Mobo: Asrock z87m Extreme 4
Externel sound card: Asus Xonar DX
Are you using OpenAL audio backend?

No, XAudio2.

Try with DSound and tell me if it´s still happening.

It does.
Try these:
1) Update drivers, Windows updates, DirectX Web installer (may be missing some parts), and latest version of Visual C++
2) Make sure under Power Management in Windows you're running in High Performance. Also set a high performance profile under Nvidia Control Center
3) Use the OpenGL backend on one of the latest dev builds, as it is faster than D3D. The current dev build is 4.0-826
All my drivers are up to date, and I switched to performance mode. But now, when I launch in OpenGL mode I just get a black screen with a FPS counter and sound. What the hell did I do?
Post your graphic configs, but I´m almost sure that you probably disabled EFB copies.

I don't think it has much to do with my settings, because between games working and not working I changed nothing. This is so weird. DX11 works fine.

Reverting Nvidia settings to default fixed it. So the combination of tip 2 and 3 were less than ideal really.
Don't use Nvida Control center to force enhancements, Dolphin doesn't like it. Look here for the GPU part on Nvidia: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-unofficial-laptop-performance-guide Only change the setting for the power management mode
