Ah yes my mistake I meant 9xSSAA. What I have noticed is that if I leave my IR at auto window size I get better results then IRx4 2560x2112. I assume because my window size is 3840x2160 thats what IR I am getting right? So with auto window IR of 3840x2160 and a 4xSSAA would be 15360x8640? and I am guessing that is also impossible lol? Thanks for the info i'm pretty new to this.

With 4x IR, the image actually has to be stretched up to match your monitor's resolution, which results in poorer image quality than trying to have an image shrunken down to match your resolution. If your IR is set to Window Size, your IR is your monitor's resolution, so yes it's 3840x2160 in your case.

No. 4xSSAA generates an image 2x the width and 2x the height of the original for 4x as many pixels in the result (2 times 2 is 4). 16xSSAA would give generate a 15360x8640 image (4x the width and 4x the height) giving you 16x as many pixels as your 4K resolution. So in other words, IR set to Window Size + 4xSSAA forces your GPU to compute an image that's 7680x4320 (also called 8K).
Ah I understand now, thank you for the help. I think I am going to try to use FXAA to try to get a small boost, because SSAA is going to be impossible without a titan or 2. Overall i'm happy with the results I am getting Big Grin
Actually, you don't need a titan to do that level of IR multiplication. I'd say that you would need only 4 GB, which would mean the R9 290 and 290x would do well, along with the titan. And, even then, 4 GB is quite the exaggeration with dolphin, and you might only need up to 3 GB, which opens up the 280x, 780, and 780 ti, plus probably some more. Plus, all of these mentioned cards have the needed core/mem speed required to handle that mass amount of AA and IR, so, really, your options are more open than you seem to think.
Well your probably right and to be honest I was thinking about giving a 780 a try, but im just not sure. I am able to run 4k with everything but AA on and get 100% on any wii game and thats without overclocking the GPU at all. I'm finding it hard to justify spending 170$ more just to be able to run AA even if its x9. It might make sense if I played more games, but I'm just getting into it really. It would future proof my system quite a bit more. What do you think?
Future proofing is probably not the best idea. It's better to get something a little weaker now and replace it in 2 years than get something that can keep up with high-midrange in 2 years and avoid replacing it. The 780 will probably be equivalent to something a third the price in a couple of years.

Additionally, having 4GB of VRAM isn't going to affect Dolphin, as AFAIK no-one has ever reported it using more than 1GB. What matters most is memory bandwidth IIRC. I don't think it's a 1-1 mapping, but getting a card with more memory bandwidth will definitely make dolphin be able to render at a higher resolution at fullspeed.

VRam has nothing to do with Dolphin . Dolphin demands memory bandwidth as much as possible
I will say that when maxing my card I have only seen memory hit the cap maybe once normally hovers it around 1.5gb usage when dolphin is hitting 99% on the GPU. As soon as I select 4xssA I go from 60-70% to 99% GPU usage
Memory bandwidth'll not do much for you if you can't hold the whole frame in RAM.
Then explain to me why Nvidia GT 9800 GDDR3 (57.6GB/sec) 512MB VRAM outperforms GT 540M DDR3 (28.8GB/sec) 1GB VRAM which is on par with Nvidia GT 440 desktop GPU and GT 640 DDR3 (28.8Gb/sec) 2GB VRAM

GeForce GT 9800 : 336 GFLOPS
GeForce GT 640 : 692.7 GFLOPS
Nvidia GT 9800 can handle 3xIR even in GPU demanding game like Mario Galaxy while the other GPUs can handle 2.5xIR in most game and 1.5->2xIR in Mario Galaxy
