I was told that in order to fix game saves I would have to upgrade from version 3.5 to 4.0. That not only caused by my game to freeze and caused tearing. I also can't connect my wii remote after the update. And since i can't connect the remote I can't even verify if game saves work. Should I down grade 3.5 or how do I fix 4.0? By the way I am on mac. Thanks.
Which games and which i5, specifically, do you have?

It is just a macbook pro 2.4ghz i5. Performance wasn't an issue with 3.5 but the major problem I have with 4.0 is no saves, the tearing, and I can't seem to connect my wii remote with my computer as I used to.

Are you following the guide to connecting the wiimote as per: https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/guides/conf...ntrollers/

You either have the i5-2430M or the i5-2435M. 1st/2nd gen i3/5/7 mobile CPU's are getting more taxed with each new major release, because as accuracy goes up, Dolphin needs more power. You should still be able to play most games at reasonable speed, though.
Speaking of games, could you list which ones you are trying to play?

Either way, you have the dreaded Intel HD 3000 graphics. Refer to this thread: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-gr...ht=hd+3000
as to why it is bad.

Unfortunately, it is an OSX specific issue.

I have not caught wind of a fix yet. Anyone else know?
Have you tried Boot Camp into Windows/Linux?
