I'm somewhat new to the whole Dolphin scene, but I have plenty of emulator experience. Anyways, the only game I have to play right now is Melee and whenever I use Open GL as my graphics option, the game freezes at the same spot every time. The intro sequence plays fine, but it will also not go into the demo either. Here's a screen cap of where it freezes every time:

I tried using D3D9 and D3D11 as well. 11 is incredibly slow in general while 9 works well in 1v1 matches on certain stages, and not so well on others.
Anyone have any advice?
Are you using 4.0.1 or 4.0.2?
Whatever the latest one on the official wesbsite is. I clicked the about tab under tools and it just said 4.0 though. And I have no idea how to find out the version info otherwise.

when you launch dolphin, you will see the version you have on the top

Just installed 4.0.2 and tried to run Melee with OpenGL rendering. I ran into the exact same problem unfortunately.
Maybe it´s time to upgrade your OGL/GPU drivers?
After thoroughly testing super smash bros melee is the only one of my games that crashes dolphin while using OpenGL. I decided to try the latest development build and the first time I launched the game it played fine, but after closing the app and relaunching ssbm would just crash dolphin when I tried to play with OpenGL.
P.S. I tried crazy taxi, super mario sunshine, luigis mansion and others, all worked fine the first time but when I tried launching them again dolphin would crash/stop
Just finished ripping my Brawl ISO from my Wii and transferring it to my PC. Thought if I tried a Wii game that it might show it's not isolated to the GC ISOs. And yes, as soon as I get to a menu it freezes as well. So either it's a Dolphin problem, or it's something up with my drivers/hardware.

99% of game-not-starting issues aren't related to whether it's a GC or Wii game, and the vast majority of that 1% remainder are cases where only Wii games are broken (usually due to issues with files in the emulated NAND).
Anyhoo, I'd guess that either OpenGL is broken on the Intel HD 4000 or you guys are just running old/new-but-buggy Intel GPU drivers. Upgrade or downgrade your drivers as necessary.
I just tried Open GL rendering with 3.0 and it worked. Why is 4.0.2 giving me problems?
