Dolphin Pro is a $5.99 Android version with a gold logo, but there's still a regular free one with the same features and functionality. The money goes to Ryan Houdek for his work on the Android version. It's just like PPSSPP and its Gold version; Gold is exactly the same as the free one, except for its logo, and exists as a form of donation. I'd be happy to buy the same thing for Windows as a donation to all developers.
Why can't we just set up a donation button on the main site?
That ^^
Of course that's an option. Even if that were added, I think people get a bit more psychologically motivated when they get something in return, even if it is just a token (or, if you're familiar with Metalocalypse, a banana sticker Tongue ). Judging from reactions I've seen at PPSSPP and the reviews of Dolphin Pro on the Google Play store (the 1-star "I can't even play my call of duty 2 on this app" review aside Wink ), it makes people a little happy to have the gold logo when they start up the emulator to go with their knowledge that they've supported the project. And I figured it exists for Android, why not Windows, etc.?

I don't mean to sound like this should be made into a big commercial endeavor focused on maximizing donations and Amazon affiliate percentage shares, I just think there are a number of people who would be more than willing to show more support, if given the chance, out of sheer gratitude... and for getting their banana sticker.

Remember to make sure the tag is present in the URL before adding the item to your cart - sometimes clicking on a link on the amazon website will strip the tag!
Shame this isn't working in Austria/Germany, I'll buy a i5 + g45 mainboard for christmas Sad
I've bought a few hundred dollars worth of stuff in the past few days, but I don't know if it worked or not with the tag parameter.
moosehunter: Just add the tag to the end of the URL before clicking "Add to Cart"/"Buy Now". It doesn't tell you anything about it, but it works AFAICT.
Request stickage ED2 and I are never going to remember without a constant reminder.
This ^^
