i will try that alt + enter trick

my os is windows 7 64 bit

im using nvidia's newest drivers

after playing allot tonight the random slowdowns have been significantly reduced id say about 80 percent.

i only encountered two slowdowns using the alt +enter, and neither were as severe or long in duration as when they were experienced going straight to fullscreen.

thanks KHg8m3r, with alt+enter the game runs better for me even the few slowdowns i get arent as crazy as when i was selecting fullscreen from the menu.

Look for any windows, graphics, or other driver updates to see if it fixes anything in the future
