Try setting framelimit to auto or audio and disable Limit by fps option if it is enabled. Set gpu to maximum performance in order not to go in low power mode in it's drivers. Then post all the general and graphic setting windows. Your pc is pretty strong and you shouldn't have such issues.

Edit: I just heard the audio samples you posted and there is zero crackling here, moreover unbearable one. Do your speakers/ headphones have issues?
I can confirm the issue. I'm not at home right now so I can't provide samples, but I dumped the audio and the crackling was clearly in the file.
It's been a while since I've played Xenoblade, but from what I remember it wasn't there before.

Will edit or post again when I'm home.

Tried it on 4.0.1.

Have you tried framelimit set to audio?

Only 4.0.1?
I'm playing Xenoblade Chronicles perfectly fine on both 4.0-146 and 4.0-201, with no sound stuttering/crackling at all.

One thing I'm going to ask you though - Do you happen to have the 60 FPS patch applied to your Xenoblade ISO? Because I know for a fact that that one will cause issues. The moment even 1-2 FPS drops and it takes too long to recover; it'll bug the sound. So my recommendation is to not use the 60 FPS patch for now. I never had issues with it in earlier versions (3.x), but it seems 4.0 is more sensitive for some reason, so I just use the default Xenoblade and have no issues whatsoever. (assuming you have the patch of course, otherwise you can disregard this).
Can you test 3.5 to see if it exists there? That may help us understand if it is likely a system thing or a Dolphin revision thing so we can hone in on the problem.

Yes, it also happens with the framelimit set to audio.

I don't have the 60FPS patch applied. I've tried both the PAL and PAL patched versions and both have the same issue.
I also tried the latest build as of now 4.0-291 and that also has the same issue as 4.0.1.

It sounds a lot better in 3.5, almost non-existant. There's still some light popping, crackling or whatever you want to call it, but it's definitely a lot better.

Could any of you, who claim that it sounds perfect for you dump the audio and post it here?
How does it work? I just check the "Dump Audio" thing and play like normal?
And this happens as soon as you start playing the game right? Or does it take time/get worse with time?

Yes. The dumped audio can be found in Dump/Audio.

Yes. I've only tested the titlescreen right now and it kind of varies but it happens in the first few notes.
I will test using 4.0 this weekend. I have Kirby Wii and Xenoblade NTSC. I will post the results here Smile
