We are all able to distinguish up to 85 fps, or at least i can.
But it's a lot more comfortable for me to FIX it to 43.
We all have our ways.

Other than concentrating on a Super CPU or a Super GPU, you should start thinking about the perfect balance of both (in performance and price) and you'll get the most out of a computer.
which is exactly why i said this on page 2

"i can make a i7 boot an windows os in 10min if i wanted to
how? give it an old slow ass hard drive and/or ram"

Lol, my pages are up to 50 posts, you should try it Big Grin.
And, you're right there.

Adding something about the FPS: any CRT screen user, should set its update frequency from 60hz to 85hz, it's less harmful for your eyes.
If you don't like how the picture flows (maybe too many frames for you) fixing 43fps on a 85hz config gives a realistic feel, not to mention you won't need such a powerful video card to reach 43 instead of 60 or 85.
shouldn't v sync (*shivers* i hate vsync) do that for you?
It does, for newer games, but for the old CS 1.6... rigs these days reach 200-300fps, so i have to use special commands.

lol i tried cs 1.6 (maybe it was cz actually) about a week ago on my comp and it was limiting it to 60fps...

nice
the only game which i saw went past 100+ fps on purpose was UT2k4 ... o.o

also, i have vsync
70hz = 30 fps
wat? that looks shitty as fuck and not fluid >_>
Thats weird i have a
Amd Athlon 64 X2
Dual-Core Processor 5000+
2GB Ram
360Gb hard drive
Nvidia 6150 SE
Windows Vista Home Premium 2.66 GHZ
and brawl runs at full speed.
I dont know why everyone else is having problems when there computers kick my computers ass big time?

Probably because you have a computer with drivers, settings and etc very well configurated and updated, it happens to me too, I never had any error messages on dolphin, its just run and play...
