It's about 4 months ago I used Dolphin to try a game, Super Smash Brothers Melee. It just worked, but really buggy at the game. The audio bah, the video bah, the only thing that worked 100% was the menu.
Anyway, it was awesome that this emulator just emulates.
I updated my pc somewhat, maybe can someone take a look at the future how it will look like?
My PC specs:
Windows XP SP3
Pentium 4 3.0Ghz
Video Card: Nvidea Geforce 9500 GT
RAM: 756 MB =updated to=> 1.5GB
DirectX 9.0c 2007 =updated to=> latest 2009 updates
I installed some 'good' thing for my pc too, something like visual x64, idk what it is though.
And with the latest dolphin software, is this good enough to play SSBM smoothly, or some other games?

nope... may play brawl at 3/4 speed if you have it...
no way i have a dual core 2.4ghz core 2 duo e6600 processor.
and i have a 9800gtx+
mine barely plays at full speed
audio is still bugged. There's is a hack however (watchdog patch) that improves speed for some games, I think this is one of them
The whole Pentium 4 series is crap, and I would know, I have one.
Test a game like animal crossing first, because it barely takes time to rip.
My P4 runs AC like crap, except at menus with K.K. Slider, it's about 70% there. Your P4 is a bit better than mine so just test a few legally obtained games and tell us how that works out for you.
And if you're planning to get a new PC SOLELY for dolphin, than I would not recommend anything above a dual proccessor. I'm getting off-topic now.

quads have higher speeds even though you cant use all 4 cores... anyway p4s arent crap they are just outdated
Meh, I have no money for a dual-core, and it's supposed as game pc now (which is very good thanks to the great video card) and it works fine.
I'll look what I can get in a few years =3
I gonna test it now. Thanks for the info everyone =)
(Btw, is the story fake that someone played a game on dolphin on a 'crappy' (P3?) pc?)

i can't quote this enough.
i LOVE my P4 (3Ghz, HT , Prescott ) and it still does an awesome job for the games of today. its indeed just outdated on its cache
(street fighter runs fine and so does unreal tournament 3 on highest settings)
EDIT: and dolphin goes half speed for me. so anyone saying a P4 (with HT at least, without its crap) is crap can go suck god's balls
