Hi! Im having a bit of a problem My friend and I are trying to play New/Newer Super Mario Bros wii,but it keeps Desycning us Sad but the problem is not our configuration settings..We have everything Exactly the same. We can play Kirby Returns to dreamland with no desync. Mario Kart wii with no Desync,Super smash bros Meele and Brawl with no desync..But new super mario bros wii is the only one that desyncs..weve gone all over the place from the netplay wiimote build branch (latest) To the Development build for 4.0 and then some. Has this problem happend to anyone else? Is there something were missing? Because if it was our setup we would desync through kirby which plays the same way as New super Mario bros wii (Sideways wii remote) and all the others, We also have the same exact save as well. So we have covered all our bases..were just missing something Sad and we do stick with the netplay guide :p

Version we used were 4.0 127. Wiimote netplay branch (latest version 3.5 1798-1797) and even the dual core branch 4.0-262. Once again in all these revisions every game we played including kirby did not desync..the only one that has/will is new and or Newer Super Mario Bros wii :c
Does it desync in the way that the message pops up saying it desynced, or does it desync as in different stuff happens on each computer.

Either way, check the disc MD5's using a program called winmd5 if you're on windows, and make sure they're identical.

It desyncs as in diffrent things happen on our computers. We also did the MD5 as you said it is Identical between us as well as the verify option. So we are throughly confused..we are playing kirby return to dreamland right now as we speak and its fine :o so everything between us is identical :c its just new super mario bros :/ We even tried doing ISO and WFBS. Same results.
It just sounds like the Wii NAND differs too much between your computers, so the seed data for the RNG changes. If it was desyncing for me, and I didn't know why, that was usually the reason. But if you're saying other games still sync, I can't be sure. Wii Netplay is a lot more volatile than GC netplay as there's no direct instructions to just make it work.

Is there anyway to check to see how much our Wii NANDS differ? Maybe theres a way we can have them be similar/more identical? Im always up for trying something because i dont think weve touched the NANDS (unless MD5 is nands then we just did that cx)
Wii NAND (in this case) just means that you've played different Wii games and have different saves in your dolphin folder for Wii games.

Well thats not the case since we have the same exact save :/ shit...well..it seems like we are fucked :c
Nah, there's going to be an update eventually that'll make Wii Netplay a lot simpler. Right now, it's complicated and there are a lot of steps that you can mess up, so it's hard to pinpoint why you're desyncing. I do know NSMBWii is a supported game, though, or at least was before it was merged into master. I will investigate to make sure this is not on the emulators end.

More accurately, it works. Nothing is supported.
