Hey,

I've been trying to get this game called Xenoblade Chronicles to run fullspeed on my computer, but for some reason it seems to have oddly low framerates, considering what I've read on the internet kind of implies that it shouldn't need that great of a computer to run maxed in the first place. The FPS is around 15-20 all the time in the game and doesn't seem to go above that most of the time. The required fps would be atleast 25 or 30...

My specs:
OS: Windows 8 Pro
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 590
CPU: i7-2600K @ 4,6Ghz
RAM: 12GB DDR3 @1333Mhz
SSD:Corsair Force GT 240GB

I'd really like some help as this seems abnormally low considering how fast my CPU is atleast supposed to be... Thanks in advance.
Post your Dolphin settings as screenshots. I have no issues running this game fullspeed on 4.0 with marginal, infrequent drops. Yours shouldn't have any trouble.

That's all I could think of. Quite a few pictures.. Really need some help with this Confused

Edit: Also FPS isn't any better with the lowest internal resolution either.
You have the MMU and MMU speed hack enabled. Both of those slowdown emulation and are unnecessary for this game. Turn them off. The VBeam Speed Hack also can give issues sometimes, see how you do with or without it.

Lastly, use OpenGL and enable the Vertex Streaming Hack in the Hacks tab of your Graphics settings. OGL is faster than DX11, usually, and that's even more so true for Nvidia hardware with the Vertex Streaming Hack enabled.

Wow, that actually worked, thanks! That MMU thing might actually explain why quite a few of my games have some strange lagging issues... I had always thought MMU was a required thing for everything, I guess not. Once again, thank you, this also fixed my lag problems for another game! And I honestly always avoided the Vertsex Streaming Hack because I had no clue what GPUs would be "supported". Thanks once more! Tongue

VBeam is actually good for this game as it fixes old audio issues when there was a change in FPS.
Plus it speeds up the game when it comes to Xenoblade. He needs to keep this enabled imo.
Alright so I played for a while and it really works perfectly all the time, absolutely 0 lag. Thanks for the help!
I've played this game 20+ hours without the VBeam Speed hack, and it runs absolutely flawlessly. Honestly I can't see why it's recommended anymore, especially since it halves the frame rate with certain Framelimit options and actually causes drops for me during battle (turning it off gives me fullspeed). It works for some people, but it's not necessary for all.
Default settings are usually the best, and if a game needs mmu it is usually already enabled by default, you don't need to change anything. Generally don't mess with settings when you don't know what they are doing.

Not for everything but it's required for some games
