These are random freezes so you can't really measure their periodicity. You can play without getting one. I'll say it depends on how long you're playing.

Also I confirm it tends to give a boost in some games. I've noticed this in some very demanding games (still haven't done this list btw Tongue )
The main reason I was asking was because I get freezes pretty commonly in WW and RE4 (with LLE) but never got one using TP (not to say they dont happen). I would rather play a slightly slower framerate than deal with freezes personally.
I've never had a freeze, and have always used it in SMG (unless it's disabled in the game's .ini, which is perfectly possible).

How often does it freeze when you enable this option?
With recent revisions as soon as I boot SMG, SMG2 or LoZ: TP I encounter a freeze with LLE on thread. Prior to Dolphin 4.0 I could get ingame and play around for a bit before the game froze.
That's always been the case for me.
DSP LLE on Thread is supposed to crash? I never had that happen to me Big Grin
It made Mario Kart Double Dash to freeze while I was playing.ConfusedHuh
That is because it uses the zelda ucode
It's a hack, if it freezes the game, too bad. If it works, then you get a speedboost. Could it be made to work better? Maybe? But with the focus moving toward accuracy, I don't know that the devs will work too hard on fixing a speedhack.
By that logic, using more than one thread at all for Dolphin is a speedhack. The devs are fine with dual core being the default option, as, when properly synchronised, it can produce 100% accurate emulation. This same idea technically applies to LLE on thread, just proper synchronisation with the Zelda microcode would stall everything so often it would be potentially problematic.
