Using this controller primarily for melee, and what happens when I use the triggers is I don't get any kind of response from the controller until I press the trigger about 50% in, at which point I get the lightshield that I should be getting pressing minimally. When I test the click in Window's own gamepad settings area, the click gets detected immediately when I press in. Anyone know how to fix it so that pressing down a little bit causes a lightshield? Thanks.
It sounds like you haven't mapped L/R-Analog.
Tell us what your adapter is and show us a screenshot of your GCPad settings please.

Sounds to me like a mayflash with out of date drivers. Though, yes make sure you have configured the analogs as LV and Billiard26 said above.

I have it set up exactly how it is shown on the Dolphin Wiki.

Sorry, forgot. Using the mayflash 2 controller GC adapter. Heres my settings
Actually in looking for the update, and as I now recall, its a firmware patch that you need. I think you need to contact mayflash to get it. To know for sure if you need this patch go to the "control panel" and find your controller. Then get to the button test screen where you can test each joystick function. If the L and R pressures do not respond that you need the patch.

They responded in this, but still don't in Dolphin.
