You're kidding me . i5 4670k is a top of the line quad core CPU unlike your low-end dual core i5 3337U
Just spend on a better video card instead
i7 has Hyperthreading (4 cores 8 threads) while i5 doesn't have (4 cores 4 threads)
Hyperthreading is useless for most PC games (not all PC games) . HT is usefull for video encoding or heavy multi-tasking

I just have money to waste, and this generation the recommended specs for PC games is 8 cores, according to watch dogs, NFS:Rivals and other games recently announced.

I'll go with GTX 770 for videocard, and I actually think this is the roof for me, I shouldn't go higher than it for now.

I really want to go with top of the line, and the i7 sounds a lot more top of the line for overall tasks to me. Isn't it?
Dolphin is not a pc game. It needs high singlethreaded performance to run fast. Also, any next gen game you get will run perfectly fine on an i5. They usually perform better in games than amd cpus as well. The only thing amd cpus can beat i5s in(iirc) is video editing due to that being heavily multithreaded.

I see, so in relation to overall gaming, I will notice no big difference if I pick a High end i7 in comparison to a i5 4670K?

If thats the case I might go with the i5 then. I would need to overclock anyway to reach good performance levels in dolphin, right?
Yeah, in Dolphin and in pc gaming you won't notice much if any difference in performance. With the i5 4670k you don't even need to overclock. At stock they're equal to an i5 3570k at 4.2ghz and that's fast enough for SMG2 with lle audio. But you should still overclock at least to 4.1 or 4.2 just for some headroom.

I think i'll go with a i7 4770K to future proof my PC though.

The thing is that I want to build a good PC because I'll be in the US this year, and buying there is more than two times cheaper than buying on my country, and I just don't know when I'll be able to travel again, so I wanted some breathing room.

Would the 4770K be able to have performance as good as the 3570K in dolphin?

I know I'm sounding a little stubborn for not wanting to take your advice in relation to the i5, sorry for that. I just want to stay the maximum time possible not having to upgrade.

Yes
To elaborate further: The 4770K and 4670K are much faster than the 3570K in dolphin.

The same should apply to CPU intensive games (btw, there aren't many)
If you get the GTX 770 as you stated before, then it'll handle both Dolphin and PC games pretty well...
