So just to be clear, when you say the latest master is merged with this, do you mean your code and the master build are merged... meaning we get the speedups and your features?
that exactly the idea this version has my changes and most of the changes from master, some changes that are not compatible with my changes are discarded.
Good to hear. I'll be testing this version against the Master a lot over the next several months. So far, I am extremely impressed.
updated the latest folder with a new version. small fix in the video configuration menu, and a small improvement on the dx9 backend when larger than render target efb scales are used.
Up until the latest speed improvements in the main branch, Ishiiruka builds with DX9 backend were always faster than the standard builds for me. But after JIT tweaks builds from the master with OGL backend not only reached the level of performance of Ishiiruka, but got ahead of it. Since Ishiiruka laked those changes I assumed that with them applied Ishiiruka would once again be the performance king.
I downloaded the latest build (Ishiiruka.187de69.x64 which supposedly contains most improvements) and performance stayed the same as it was in Ishiiruka.b374d4b.x64. I tried OGL instead of DX9, and still speed is not comparable to official builds.
I have used Resident Evil 4 PAL for comparisons, and in one particular scene I had 23-25 fps (DX9)), while in official OGL - 31-32 fps. In official builds for the majority of time I have fullspeed, while in Ishiiruka I often experience drops to lowest twenties.
And yes, both versions of the emulator share the same settings.
Dant: can you share your settings to test them?

Dant: I usually do my test with SMG in the observatoy because is one of the more heavy tests ,and I Have 136 fps with DX11 qith ishiruka and 100 with dx11 in master, and 90 with GL.
46 fps + than gl in master. Will be interesting if you can check more games and write your specifications of HW and games tested with the settings.
BTW: The master JIT tweaks also are applied in Ishiiruka.

And that's exactly the interesting part because: OpenGL in master and OpenGL in Ishiikura should be pretty much the same, right? But obviously, for Dant they aren't.
Maybe it has something to do with exclusive fullscreen not working right in Ishiikura? I do have those weird sound issues whn using fullscreen with DX9 and OGL after all...
opengl in ishiiruka, is FARRRRRRRRR from be like master opengl code.
ishiiruka ogl has not been maintained in a year, you should stick to dx11 or dx9 until ogl is updated.
stripthesoul: you never mentioned that your sound issues only happend at full screen
