thanks for your answer - after some observation it seems that the settings where all directX 11 dependant.
i think i may have the perferct settings for Mario kart wii & Smash brotehrs Infinite on your Ishiiruka builds.
As a general tip for users with old machines, 240 by 240 resolutions speed things up very well & creating those low resultions on the graphic card control panels is a must.
Aftert that is done, Ishiiruka dolphin actually lists those low resolutions..
BUt now i have another problem:
i have been trying to play a mario kart wii hack called mario kart fusion, a custom mario kart wii with 600plus tracks, but i can't seem to make Riivolution hacks work in your Ishiikura builds.
the only way i got it to work is using dolphin 5.0 16930, windows 10 machiine
is there a way you can integrate riivolution hacks, or would you be able to help me build a 16930 verison that utilizes QT5?
Hi all
Question, does anyone here knows if the config location of the Ishiiruka configuration settings in the folder "Documents" can be changed? I ask because I get a "mismatch" with the standard Dolphin emulator builds. It looks that all Dolphin builds are using the same "Dolphin Emulator" folder for the configuration. As a result Ishiiruka Dolphin becomes non-functional when a standard Dolphin build is present. Note, I don't launch both versions on the same time.
Currently I am testing three builds, Ishiiruka Dolphin 1136,
Dolphin 5.0-16391 (last Qt5 based release) and
Dolphin DX9 Final-4.0-154. While both standard Dolphin versions coexist fine, Ishiiruka Dolphin no longer works when the config settings in "Dolphin Emulator" are altered by one of the other Dolphin builds.
For me it looks that the best would be when Ishiiruka Dolphin would have its own config folder. Something like "Ishiiruka Dolphin Emulator" or just "Ishiiruka Emulator".
Final note, I am testing those Dolphin releases under
Kubuntu 22.04 LTS and Wine devel. I am using them as some type of "testing tools" regarding the native Direct3D 9 compatibility under Linux. Yes, there exist a native Direct3D 9 API also for Linux, it's called
Gallium Nine. And so far, both D3D9 based Dolphin builds are working fine in regards to speed. For me it looks that they even outperform the OpenGL renderer, and this is under Linux. Whatever, the only drawback is that the Ishiiruka Dolphin 1136 version seems to have some graphical regressions when DX9 is used but that's a different topic.
