Sure! These are the specs of the laptops:
- A: Intel Core i7 2860qm ( 4c/8t 2.5-3.6 GHz, 8MB cache, bus 25,6), 8 GB DDR3 1600MHz dual channel, Nvidia GT540M 1Gb, Windows 10 1903 (due to some HDMI output incompatibilities with higher releases, since I'm using it on a 720p TV)
- B: Intel Core i7 2630qm (4c/8t 2.0-2.9 GHz, 6MB cache, bus 21.3), 4 gb DDR3 1600 MHz dual channel, Nvidia GT520MX 1Gb Windows 10 1909

Nvidia GT540M: core 672MHz, shaders 1344MHz, memory 900Mhz, bus 128bit, 96 (cores?)

Nvidia GT520Mx: core 900MHz, shaders 1800MHz, shaders 1800MHz, memory 900MHz, bus 54bit, 48 (cores?)
Dolphin is running at stock setting. I have just selected DX11 and 1x 1,5x or 2x scaling. No other tweaks to keep my tries simple.
Is there maybe a newer versione Ishiiruka that I can try?
I have read on Reddit (If I remember correctly) that nowadays there's no need to prefer ishiiruka in place of the original Dolphin...is it correct?

That will depend on your gamming experience, depending on your configuration ishiiruka can give you some extra fps, and as always you have more functionalities that are not present on Original dolphin, like tessellation and advanced ligthing. Is just a mather of testing it and see what works better for you.
About your problem, the latest version is 1100, you should try that version and stable 777 and see if the problem is the same, in that case is an incompatibility, and i ca try to fix it. but if the error is not present in one of those version it could be a regresion and i will have to track the change that causes it. So please your feedback is iimportant.

There is now something very wrong.Â

I think I might test one emulator at a time. I Have to completely remove Dolphin and its leftovers bevore reinstalling ishiiruka. I get similar performance with both now and they are not even close to what I was able to acheive 2 nights ago.
It's getting frustrating, to be honest. Thank you Nvidia Optimus Technology -.-" I'm 100% sure I configured Nvidia control panel properly, but I might assume that in the background it's still causing some issues.....
I'm gonna give you soon some feedback.
Hi Tino, not sure if you are aware of this issue, but if you are using Gecko codes the game stutters quite a lot? Like it's not playable, it's not subtle
Hope everyone is okay...
Hey Tino, I have done some testing on the "most powerful" machine of the two listed, that acording to some other users should be capable of handling 2x at 60 fps.
Version 777, DX11 full screen. New Mario World level 1-4. At native I get 60fps; at 1,5x I get 45-50 fps ,at 2x I get 39-41 fps.
Version 1100, DX11, fullscreen. New Mario World level 1-4. Black screen and crash in any mode.
I say level 1-4 because it's an undewater level with a lot of things going on on screen. The situation in the other simpler levels is smoother.
What's weird is that everytime I launch the emulator (both versions), under video options I have DX11 and GT540M as expected. I close and re-open video options and I have DX11 and Intel HD3000. If I switch to GT540M and launch a game, on 777 I get the typical error message that invites me to correctly configure Nvidia Optimus and on 1100 I get a crash.
Later I cleaned again every setting by deleting Documents/Dolphin and loaded the latest build of Dolphin. Everything was crappily fine and stable.
Now, I don't now how I could have obtained 60 fps at 1,5x and 2x on the other system that is less powerful with Ishiiruka version 1100. It was 2AM, I migh have been a little confused. D*mn.
Just to be clear, the only option I have changed was the scaling. No tweaks or hacks.

I have a fullHD monitor so i'm using a 3X resolution because i think that i don't have a reald advantage if I set highter resolution...
Currently I have 8XMSAA and Anisotropic filter 16X, with post processing off. Â
Well, I tried also 8xSSAA but even if my GPU/CPU/RAM aren't used a lot, games have some slowdown in some area or during cut scenes, for example. I don't know why... So I tried 4xSSAA and everything works correctly as 8XMSAA.  Well, I don't notice differences between 8XMSAA and 4XSSAA...but 4XSSAA should be a little better, am I right?
In Ishiiruka setting higher resolutions have a similar effect to ssaa. You yould test what looks best/perform best. in my system (2700x + 2060) normally I play using 4x without MSAA to avoid issues.
Would it be possible to port Ishiiruka to liretro or to support the devs for porting. It would be awesome to have this emulatorin its current form available as libretro core.
Uploaded a new version to the shared folders. Add Supports for static env cube maps to improve metallic and plastic materials adding reflection.
The cube maps are stored in 6 files (env_default.nx, env_default.px, env_default.ny, env_default.py, env_default.nz, env_default.pz) one for each face of the cube. (The default for all games is included in the resource folder).
You can also customize the default cube map for an specific game by adding your 6 custom textures to the game texture load folder.
Is also possible to customize the environment for specific areas, to do this the naming of the files is env.[textureID].[face] where [face] use the same values that the default textures have And the thextureID is the name of a texture that is present in that specific area.
If no custom env is defined the default will be used.
You have to enable Custom Texture loading, hires material maps and phong shading to enable cubemaps.
Enjoy and let me know of any issues.
you can see an excelent example here (Thanks to skilarbabcock for his great work with the models and the textures)

Wow, looking really interesting!
