hi guys,
i need your help please. I downloaded both the latest dev release of Solphin regular version and Ishiiruka version.
This is my current pc config: CPU i5 4690K overclocked to 4.2Ghz, nvida GTX 970 G1 Gaming, 8 GB RAM.
I tried different options, for example:
Direct 3d or Vulkan with regular dolphin and Direct 3d 12 with Ishiiruka
Resolution: Native 640x528
Anti-Aliasing: 4xSAA
Anysotropic filter: 4X
I think that it is enough to run games with all effects active...but i see that games, some games in particular, glitchy. For example during Tatsunoko vs Capcom, it runs at 60fps but very often it glitchy at 5, 20 fps for a moment. I tried also with Anti-Aliasing: NONE and Anysotropic filter: 1x. Same issue. So it isn't for sure a performance problem of my pc...
Same issue in Donkey Komng Country Return, Zelda Skywar Sword, Mario Tennis, Super Mario Galaxy 2...
I have installed Microsfot Visual C++ 2017 so i think that everything is ok..
How can i solve this issue?
Many thanks!

with that pc you should be able to play at full speed those games. you can up the resolution to 3x and that should still give you full speed. can you post your full configuration?
I have just updated the drivers of my GPU, and i'm using Direct3D 11, but it was updated until June...ant the issue is still here

It seems that freezez are more frequent and more noticeable/bigger in Ishiiruka version than in the normal Dolphin version (i tried the last dev version released yesterday).
This is my complete configuration:
CPU:Intel 1150 i5-4690K  M.B.:GIGABYTE Z97MX-Gaming5  VGA:Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4.0GB G1 GAMING  RAM:ARES 2x4GB DDR3-2133  SDD:SAMSUNG 840 EVO 250GB  HDD:SEAGATE 3.5" 3000GB ST3000DM001 Barraud  Cooler:Thermalright HR-02 MACHO REV.B  PSU:Thermaltake Paris 650W ATX 80+Gold  O.S:WS 7 ULT.SP1 64BIT
I completely uninstalled graphic drivers and re-installed them. I have also downloaded the newest version of regular Dolphin and i trie again the Ishiiruka version: issue is still here. Probably now is worse than before! I noticed that freezes usually happens alsways in the same point/situations in every game.
And in addition there are graphical glithces sometimes...

It is really strange, for sure my pc is able to play these games without any issue...
We´re still waiting for your settings though. All of them.

CONFIG: nothing changed, i only entered the isos path
GRAPHIC -->Â
General:Â
Backend: i tried both OPENGL, Direct3d11,Vulkan
Aspect Ratio: Auto
Use Fullscreen checked
Enhancements:
Internal Resolution: i tried both Native (640x528) and 3xNative for 1080p (i think that 3x is the right option because iìm using Doplhin on a 1080p monitor, are you agree?)
Anti-Aliasing: i tried None, 4xMSAA, 2xSSAA, 4xSSAA (which is the recommended value in order to have better graphic on my pc?)
Anisotropic Filtering: I tried 1X, 2X, 8X (which is the better value that my pc can manage in your opinion?)
Nothing else is changed from the default...
I could try on the new laptop of my brother. Here its specs:Â
CPU: i5 8250U 1.8Ghz - 3.4Ghz in turbo boost, 4 core, 8 threads

O.S: Windows 10 64bit
Do you think that this laptop can run Dolphin with some effects activated? For example Resolution 3x, Antialiasing: 2xSSAA and Anisotropic Filtering: 4X? I coudl try if Dolphin works well in this pc with sames isos game...?
thanks!
Yes, I believe you could try on your brother´s laptop to see if the games also stutter there.
And no, I´m afraid you can´t really use any enhacements (the CPU is ultra-low voltage, so it can´t keep up the pace as easily as yours). Same for the GPU.
I suggest you use the option Compile Shaders Before Starting and Async Ubershaders.
@legolas119: are you using ubershaders? did you enabled async shader compilation? you should
ok, i'm focusing on 2 games: donkey kong country and tatsunoko vs capcom. Â I'm trying both Dolphin and Dolphin Ishiiruka.
1) With Dolphin:  I enabled Compile Shaders Before Starting and Async Ubershaders  and I uncked the Full Screen. If I use Resolution 3x, Anti Aliasing=2X and Anisotropic filter: 2X
- Tatsunoko vs Capcom: no graphical glithes, I think that it was the full screen option the cause of this problem! If I uncheck it and the game start in a small window, no graphical glitches. Then i can enlarge the screen and graphical glitches don't appear. Speaking about freezes, it seems they are disappeared.  Only if i select Anti-Aliasing=4X there are slowdown, from 60 to 30/40 fps during special moves. The game has some slowdown and i checked that the bottleneck isn't the CPU (only at 20%) but the GPU that is at 100%!!!!
- Donkey Kong: same as above, more or less. In Donkey Kong freezes are still present only in some points, but fewer than before. I ckeched the pc peformance and it sure that some freezez/slowdonw appear whn GPU is at 100%! I have to buy a new mini-atx, so i think that an i5 8600 is enough in order to play Dolphin at its best. And i would like to buy this GPU:https://www.amazon.it/ZOTAC-GeForce-ZT-P10600A-10L-Scheda-Gaming/dp/B01IA9FEOO/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&qid=1533046078&sr=8-1&keywords=gtx+1060+6gb+mini&linkCode=sl1&tag=fb-assemblarepc-21&linkId=d60020b7b1e2ec0605985269969dcd69
Currently i have a GTX 970, do you think that the new GPU is enough in order to use Dolphin with best settings?

2) With Dolphin Ishiiruka:  I enabled Ubershaders= Exclusive  and I uncked the Full Screen. I can't active Compile Shaders Before Starting because i don't find the option...
If I use Resolution 3x, Anti Aliasing=2X and Anisotropic filter: 2X. Â I haven't selected any shaders in the Post Processing tab. Which are the recommended shaders that i can activate?
- Both games: a lot of problems, slowdowns, audio problems...no, it's not good. Dolphin regular edition is really better in this case. I don't know why...
thanks!
