Wind Waker has sound issues, when you are in any area of Dragon Roost Cavern that has the "heat effect" you will experience stuttering in the sound as time elapses, it generally happens around 20-30 seconds in.
The FPS won't dip, so it isn't speed related, however the sound will begin to stutter until you close and open the game again, changing scene doesn't matter either as it won't go away.
This issue happens with Dsound, Xaudio2 or OpenAL with any specified latency, also happens on all backends OpenGL/DX9/DX11, tested on Ishiiruka 721-(4916a9b)
Found that changing EFBToTextureEnable = False to EFBToTextureEnable = True in GZL.ini makes the problem go away but if you do that the emulator crashes when using the Pictobox
Is there a way to fix the issue without making Pictobox unusable?

After first running the emulator everything works fine, afterwards, when launching it the emulator window immediately hides itself in the background. It's not a big deal, nothing alt+tab doesn't cure, just thought to let you know.
Thanks Tino.
EDIT
Getting black screen with XFB enabled, both virtual and real in DX12 and virtual in DX11, it works in DX11 when set to real. This is with the normal version, with the stable version it works the same way, black screens with sound audible in the background with everything but DX11/XFB Normal. DX9 was not tested.
what games are you testing?
version 721 stable.
metal gear still have problem whit fps but why when i click alt + tab and i click option graphic. after fps go up +5 , then is 50 fps some won know why only when i click alt+tab and click options graphic...?
i test this when sneak in wanter.
bicause some time in water is drop fps is good place for test.
@zerr11: The reason of that could be that some settings are overrided in the game ini and when you open the configuration dialog it reverts to your global settings.
Some games have options overided for compatibility, you can alway open the configuration dialog to apply your global settings but you are aware that that can cause issues.

Tested FZeroGX and MKDD, same result.
@Panchito: do you know the version when the problem start? I ask because i cannot reproduce the issue.

Latest, I mean, it was working with 708(?), no idea if there were versions in between that and 721, it works fine, just not with XFB set on virtual or real when using D3D12, and only real on D3D11, I tested today with OpenGL, same deal as with D3D11, no image just sound with XFB set to virtual, and working fine with real.
PS
It's not game specific.
EDIT
Just sent you the config files through PM
@Tino: Found the cause of the sound issue with Wind Waker, apparently audio stretching + EFBToTextureEnable = False in that game is not a good combination as it always results in the same issue of sound stuttering in the same area, just disabling audio stretching causes the issues to go away.
Also noticed that sound stretching messes with Rhythm Heaven Fever/Beat the Beat timings.
@ dopefish69: Do you even need timestretching? You should only use it if your PC struggles running games at their full speed.
@Tino: For me, latest Ishiiruka (not the 'stable' one) works fine, no crash or anything after playing SMG2 for almost two hours.
However, the random single little freezes/stutters are still happening. (You know, the ones that started with using the ShaderUIDs.) Were you able to find anything there?
