(03-28-2016, 08:17 AM)Panchito Wrote: [ -> ]Well, all I need to do is unpack the Ishiiruka download on a new dir, place a portable.txt in the exe folder, and run it and switch backends, dx11 and dx12 will shut it down, ogl refuses to run and crashes Ishiiruka.
GFX.ini, the only file that gets created in \User when trying to switch to dx11 or dx12 btw, a dolphin.ini gets created when trying to run in ogl, in both cases dolphin.log is totally clean. Nothing has changed in my PC since the last two or three Ishiiruka revisions.
Thanks . Reproduced and fixing
(03-28-2016, 08:16 AM)tactfulgamer Wrote: [ -> ]Don't know if what you prescribed is what Dell software support guy did when he took over my computer via remote access- but Dolphin launches now.
However, new host of problems have popped up that won't allow me to play Soul Calibur2. Baffling because the following issues were not present on the 406 version.
These are them:
1) Does not accept my controller for some reason. I configure the controller, go through the process of pressing the buttons for the assigned areas, creating a profile for the controller saving it - and still does not work when I start the game and can't get past the initial press start screen. What's wrong here is that it's NOT letting me save a controller profile. I can't create one so that I may save it. Â The drop down box is ignoring me clicking into it so I can type in a name to then save it.
2) When I try to escape the program by hitting the escape key. My screen goes into black out mode, a black screen. I then have to use the Cntrl, Alt & Delete control to close out Dolphin so I can get back to my desktop.
3) The letter's are squished/cut off in the selection boxes they are within. Example, when I go to configure my controller, I only see the first letter of my controller profile I am trying to save. Same goes for all the other font. Â I am running 4K monitor laptop with 4k resolution, so don't know if it's this.
Hopefully this will get resolved here with some help. If not.... I'm truly thinking of peacing out. Gave this issue 6 hours of my time today. I'm really done after this. I'll just have to wait on Bamcos official PC release.
(03-28-2016, 08:25 AM)Tino Wrote: [ -> ]1) can you test is this issue happends in master?
2) enbale borderless full screen in the advanced configuration tab un der graphic configuration and that will void the problem
3)can you share a screenshot so i can look at the issue?
1. Don't know what's master? (New to PC gaming, New to Emulators)
2. Will set it to borderless and report back.
3. See in the screencap how the letters in the boxes with controller setup barely visible. Creating new profile and saving not possible won't register. Second thumbnail has better view

The latest Dolphin (not Ishiiruka) development build.
updated latest folder again, fixed issues reported by @Panchito, testing is welcome.
Would like to report that per-pixel lighting with Tomoya's TPHD mod and Ishiiruka 605 is broken. Performance is absolutely terrible in cutscenes. Currently running very good hardware; on the Crimson 16.3.1 drivers. I feel like there's an obsessive amount of geometry work going on in the background that my gpu doesn't really like. There doesn't seem to be any problems with nvidia cards as even Tomoya with an old  gtx 670 runs it just fine.
I tried to test whether or not overly stupid amounts of tesselation was being used, and that doesn't seem to be the case. Still having the same problems between 16x and 64x tessellation using the tesselation overide option in the Crimson drivers.
Here is a picture to see how bad it is.

EDIT: my signature should display my hardware, however I am using a 290x now instead of a 280x

what backend are you using? can you share your configuration? are the textures you are using generated with mipmaps included (That can affect the performance a lot).
Metroid other m is crash here
i tested all backend!
