I'm certified new to all of this. I don't know.

How would I go about checking that? I tried redownloading the file, still, same issue.
(Why would antivirus nab it? no virus in the file right?) you guys are legit I hope, no malware or what have you.

**UPDATE**
Tried opening it with WinRAR and received the following messages:
Can't start because MSVCP140.dll is missing
Can't start because VCRUNTIME140.dll is missing
I noticed some problems in Windows 10 .
Some random BSODs

I tested all the intel drivers but no luck.
BSODs continued

In Windows 7 runs perfectly without random BSODs.

My hardware specs
Notebook Acer E1-572-6_BR471
Intel Core i3 4010U
8 gb ddr3
Intel hd 4440

You have to extract it on a folder and then download microsoft visual c++ redistributables, you can acces them with the link included in the archive

Thanks Tino but if it it's a driver problem then you probably wont find anything. (If that was in response to me, also feel better.)

And seeing how researching BSODs tell me what you told me helios (other then Microsoft who say both software and hardware) then it's probably my end. I was basing my facts on my own experiences rather then researching about BSODs.
updated the latest folder with a new version, just minor fixes, merged latest master changes and fix improvements to the video configuration UI. feedback and testing are welcome.

Couldn't make it work with DX11 or DX12, Ishiiruka just closes itself. OGL works but then it will come up with a "failed to initialize post processor" message and then Ishiiruka crashes. So basically, with the latest revision only DX9 and Software are working on my end.
@Panchito: can you share your configuration?

Don't know if what you prescribed is what Dell software support guy did when he took over my computer via remote access- but Dolphin launches now.

However, new host of problems have popped up that won't allow me to play Soul Calibur2. Baffling because the following issues were not present on the 406 version.

These are them:

1) Does not accept my controller for some reason. I configure the controller, go through the process of pressing the buttons for the assigned areas, creating a profile for the controller saving it - and still does not work when I start the game and can't get past the initial press start screen. What's wrong here is that it's NOT letting me save a controller profile. I can't create one so that I may save it.  The drop down box is ignoring me clicking into it so I can type in a name to then save it.

2) When I try to escape the program by hitting the escape key. My screen goes into black out mode, a black screen. I then have to use the Cntrl, Alt & Delete control to close out Dolphin so I can get back to my desktop.

3) The letter's are squished/cut off in the selection boxes they are within. Example, when I go to configure my controller, I only see the first letter of my controller profile I am trying to save. Same goes for all the other font.  I am running 4K monitor laptop with 4k resolution, so don't know if it's this.

Hopefully this will get resolved here with some help. If not.... I'm truly thinking of peacing out. Gave this issue 6 hours of my time today. I'm really done after this. I'll just have to wait on Bamcos official PC release.
Well, all I need to do is unpack the Ishiiruka download on a new dir, place a portable.txt in the exe folder, and run it and switch backends, dx11 and dx12 will shut it down, ogl refuses to run and crashes Ishiiruka.

GFX.ini, the only file that gets created in \User when trying to switch to dx11 or dx12 btw, a dolphin.ini gets created when trying to run in ogl, in both cases dolphin.log is totally clean. Nothing has changed in my PC since the last two or three Ishiiruka revisions.

3)can you share a screenshot so i can look at the issue?
