The Scaling Filter seems to have broken sometime between 510 and 560. I might bisect that later if I have time.

Speaking of which, is there a chance that a Lanczos scaling filter can be added? The current one works but is kinda blurry, and DolphinFX's scaling filter doesn't seem to produce the downsampling effect that I want.

You can get a lanczos filter just changing two params inside jinc2-sharper.glsl shader:

#define JINC2_WINDOW_SINC 0.42
#define JINC2_SINC 0.92

Change the window to 0.5 and the resampler to 1.0, like this:

#define JINC2_WINDOW_SINC 0.5
#define JINC2_SINC 1.0

Save as lanczos2-sharp.glsl and that's it, you have a fresh lanczos with circular coordinates and 2-taps. Wink
The Scaling Filter broke somewhere between Build 510 and 524, possibly as a result of reworking all the post-processing stuff.

Oh sweet I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the info.
Do you have documentation for the parameters of jinc2-sharper?
Edit: nvm documentation is in the glsl itself.

Does anti-ringing matter for lanczos or no?

Edit 2: Using build 560, something's not right with the display/resize shaders. 6x IR (3840x3168) downsampled to 800x460 should have excellent anti-aliasing, and yet:
[Image: 00000000-7gnknw.png]
This is with the display/resize shader on jinc2-sharper, but all of them have pixel staircases everywhere.

Edit 3: The shaders are working fine, disregard.
What about some other resizers, like say anything use by madashi in his MadVR renderer (see his thread(s) at doom9) I like NNEDI3 for all my non-bluray stuff. I think I used CATMULL ROM vs lanczos where it was an option before using MadVR.

But I do have the hardware that can run the high NNEDI3 settings, so I don't know exactly how performance hungry this is on lesser hardware (i5 2500k@ 4.3GHz and GTX 770 4GB Gigabyte's Windforce).

I think we're on the cusp of having a fantastic resizer for Dolphin/Ishiiruka!
No, nearest neighbor, we don't mean you. *pushes nearest neighbor back into the basement and puts the fridge infront of the door*

Also happens with this TP pack which came bundled with a Ishiiruka version, same issue with that too

I don't know if I completely messed up using mega and if these are the files you are looking for but here goes, haha

I also get this with the packs in the correct location:

can you give more detail on your problem because i just tested andit worked as spected on my system
(02-20-2016, 11:56 AM)Tino Wrote: [ -> ]can you share the configuration you are using?

Thank bro for replying my claim, here's the configuration I use:
- In Dolphin configuration I have not changed anything.
- Graphic, (General) Backend Direct3D9, Adapter Intel HD graphic, (Display) - Fullscreen resolution is Auto, Aspect ration is stretch to windows, V-sync is disabled, use full screen is disabled, others all are disabled.
On enhancements, internal resolution is 1 640-528, Anti-Aliasing is none, Anisotropic filtering is 1, scaled EFB copy is disabled, use scaling filter is disabled, force texture filtering is disabled, widescreen hack is disabled, disabled fog is disabled, per-pixel lighting is also disabled, about texture scaling mode is off with disabled deposterize, scaling factor is 2.
About hacks, skip EFB access from cpu is enabled, ignore format changes id enabled, store EFB copies to texture only is enabled, texture cash is fast, External frame buffer is disable, Bounding box is CPU, other fast depth calculation is enabled, Full Async shader Compilation is enabled.
About Advanced I have not done/changed anything all of them are disabled.

PLZ can ya give a proper configuration to play Wii games, I even find hard way to play GC games, both of them with low FPS.
I am trying to play Zelda twilight princess and even Metroid but both are slow, same thing to metal gear solid and paper marion
Thanks bro Smile
@Sammy55: you are using the fastet configuration you can use, if that works slow in your system there is nothing i can do to speed things up, but is werird because yor system should run a little faster, maybe you are habing overheating problems.
Updated the latest folder with a new version, added efb peek cache to dx11 courrtesy of @stenzek , por it to dx9 and dx12. games that do eavy efb access should work a lot better now.
replaced scaling with a shader and remove the options for the backend that does ot need it. testing is welcome. Enjoy.

Hi, thanks for replying me once again, I think ya are right it could be overheating I really can't play any game, I guess the problem is emitted from my system, but at least your project is better than the master dolphin.
Anyway, it's my pleasure to have the conversation with ya, maybe I will quite using Dolphin my PC is too weak, but thanks for your hard work and great project.

Peace (Y) Smile
I've got a beta of super-xbr. Though it doesn't work properly, for now only when Dolphin is at 2x internal res it works well. Dunno why yet.[attachment=14403]

Put it inside 'Scaling' folder.
