I think it could allow for some really cool mods, especially combined with the shader capabilities you've added. Plus some people prefer low-res textured games without traditional resampling.

texture filter inside games or inside post processing shaders?

Texture filtering inside games, so we could change it to nearest neighbor for example, which allows for some unique styles for texture modding games. There was an issue on Dolphin's tracker about it earlier this year: https://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/8313

can you give more detail on the problem?

Yeah basically the newest version of project m netplay uses a virtual sd card, and a .elf file to auto boot and apply the codes to a Brawl Iso. When i do this all music is distorted but regular sounds are perfectly fine. It seems to have to do something with it being on an sd card cause if i use an older version of PM made into an iso instead of virtual sd card its fine.

Did you try to change the hook type in the launcher options?

yes. Nothing changed.

Thanks a lot, as soon i have time, i will start doing my own private building

There is nothing better in the computer life that "not officialy supported" Smile

Anyways im not a big fan of nintendo cube/wii library, mostly the few survival horrors in both machines, as soon i can play this games well (only RE1, RE0, Eternal darkness in cube?) i dont need more

And all survival i tested on (official) Dolphin in this latest years, all worked great

I did a couple of personal builds of official builds for XP x64 this latest years, but now, i think i will change to Ishiiruka, the speed is much much better than official

Off-topic, but this left me wondering… rather than hacking the code and using old builds just to stay on XP… why are you still using Windows XP? It is a very old OS which is not supported anymore (so it won't even receive security updates) and it would certainly be a good idea to switch to a newer, modern OS. And if your hardware is too old for newer systems, then it probably is no good for Dolphin either…

Yes, I know there are hacks to trick XP into installing Windows Embedded/Server (in this case) updates, but this is not supported in any case and may break at any time. So there's still no reason to keep using XP. It's 2015.

Thank you. I haven't really looked a lot into the errors but it seems that some header files are not getting included, somehow.
@leolam: already fixed in the last version just update from github and it will compile under linux

No problem for offtopic

Well, i have two PCs, one is my desktop, the one i use for programming, surf web, etc ... the one im writing now  Smile ,  is a Pentium 4, 2Gb ram, and XP x64

It work perfect, all the software I need run great, is rock solid stable, and i love XP explore (explorer in Vista+ is horrible... specially in Windows 10  Undecided )

You know... If it works, don't touch it... and hell... It works great. Never a problem with XP x64 since I installed for first time in 2008

No reason at all to change. Updating to 7+, will be a "downgrade" since I will not get nothing i need, but a explorer don' t like, and a lot less of my lmited SDD space  Tongue

And the second computer, is a Dual Core 3ghz, 2Gb ram,  8600GT, with a big 19" CRT, XP x64

I use for emulators and games, ad in this computer I dont care to use XP, Windows 7 or whatever.... but....

I dont like much new games, but love old ones, and for this XP is the best. Ok,  Win98 is best, but XP is close.   Windows Vista+ fail a lot in old games

Same for some old emulators, like winx68k,  in Vista+ give a lot of video problems... this emulator only works well in win9x, NT4, 2000 and XP....

Beside this, all the software I need is supported in XP, retroarch, winuae, nullDC,  psx2, etc,  and I only need to work  in the ones that give me problems, like Dolphin,  not a big deal

In fact... the only emulator I use that drops support for XP for now, is dolphin... all other works OK (exept when my hardware is the limit, like even if Win7 support DX11 my 8600GT don´t)

Using XP give me a lot of less trouble than Vista+ in this emulation dedicated PC
@theelf: if you make a xp compatible version please share it to github so others users like you can enjoy it.

Yes of course, as soon i make a XP compatible and updated dolphin, i will send to you all the changes
@theelf: I see. I totally understand why you don't want to switch. It still works for you, and that's good. But I still strongly recommend that you upgrade because it goes beyond the "it works for me, why change it" or the "I prefer XP's explorer.exe look"; staying on XP is staying on a doomed OS which is already (sort of) dead (despite still being widely used and present on a lot of PCs like yours). The same goes for XP64 which is based on Server 2003, for which security updates have stopped this year in July. Your PC could be vulnerable and is perhaps even infected right now. Remember, if you're connected to the Internet, it does not only harm you, but others as well. Security is everyone's responsability, and it starts by having a secure base.

Also, please don't take this as an offense, but I absolutely dislike the "don't touch it if it works" (especially as a developer). If this was done by everyone, we'd be stuck with no new software, and to be more on-topic, nothing newer than 4.0.2 because "it works" (which does not mean that it's good).
@Tino: thank you! Just compiled it, now running it to try it out

EDIT: Sadly, it doesn't seem to work. The main UI does start but I'm getting a PanicAlert immediately after starting a game. It says: "WriteRest: op out of range (0x7f427dbca048 uses 0x1589820)", and pressing any of the two buttons (Yes/No) immediately crashes the emulator.
