I'm currently playing through Twilight Princess with XBRZ maxed out (with 6x resolution scaled down to 1080p) and it's running fantastic and the extra scaling makes the textures look that much more detailed.  This is the most playable setting I've found, as all the other scaling methods have occasionally slow downs as it loads the textures in.  Text and HUD looks sharper (which is the primary reason I wanted to try the setting).  Though, with scaling turned on, there is some of that pink coloring that appears around the minimap in Twilight Princess which is similar to the graphical effect that occurs with "Force Texture Filtering" on.
Thanks to the great PPSSPP team for code.
I've also noticed that in games with videos (mainly during the bootup... such as Mario Kart Double Dash) the texture scaling slows the game down to 1 FPS. Â But it's easy to work around by turning the scaling off until the game starts. Â I also booted up "Paper Mario: TTYD" and it looks great... definitely 2D games is where this feature will be the most useful (as mentioned by the poster above) but I'm finding the difference it makes with the HUD in 3D games also beneficial.
I had to even sign up here to talk about how much I love it!
