you have exclusive full screen only in ogl and dx11, dx9 is really unestable, wil take a look at why borderless is failing as reported by BarrowRoll
BarrowRoll: can you give more detail on your issue i ust tested and worked on my system.
I was using DX11. Upon further testing, games boot in exclusive fullscreen, even with the borderless fullscreen option checked, but I can get borderless fullscreen by Alt-Tabbing. It's a bit finicky though. No problems in the latest master build.
Also, I hope you'll be able to merge 4.0-5124 soon, it fixes the
Refraction Slowdown issue for Metroid Prime.

updated the latest folder, borderless full screen fixed in dx11, somo little tweaks and code cleaning.

Just tested the latest build, borderless fullscreen works perfectly now, thanks!
The Refraction Slowdown bug still remains though.
can you guide me on how to reproduce the issue?

Not sure if you're familiar with the game, but I'll do my best. In the first area where your ship lands on Tallon IV it's raining. If you play past the intro on Frigate Orpheon this is the place you'll be after the cinematic. If you look up and let the rain drops fall on your visor you will experience slowdown in OpenGL (I haven't tested this) and D3D if anti-aliasing is enabled (I have tested this).
Thanks for the info will take a look

Been working the past few days so I haven't been able to try this. Can you tell me how to do it please, thank you.
just download a fresh copy of the emulator, and put a file named portable.txt on the same folder, then the emulator will start with a local configuration with all the default config values.
