HD Textures For Resident Evil Code Veronica X

Description:

After Capcom's "HD" remake of Code Veronica, I've decided to create real HD mod for Code Veronica.
This mod will change textures of game to real HD, which means it's not just upscaled.
In final part of the mod will be included SweetFX to get maximal graphics.

I have noticed you are reusing the same texture over and over which also do not fit.

The texture rework below does not work, the textures do not fit the scene and the lighting is bland
and the Shadows are gone, I assume Code-Veronica uses Lightmap to create its lighting and
shadows which are difficult to recreate .

ante:. its cool your initiative but, you used the same texture over and over and it do not fit, also you should try to keep the game most close to original as possible, and your textures are far from it, but this is just my opinion and as you said its just an alpha test.
if you need help with the lightmap.. just tell me, i'll be glad to help.

This is just alpha test of the mod, i've uploaded for people To try it out.I've changed many textures for now and will always post screens for opinions.
I Want to show people the project is started, thats why ive used same texture.
Any help will be Appreciated.

Great that somebody is working on this game !!
Some months ago I used this title (one of my all-time-favs) to learn a bit more andvanced texturing-techniques. Sadly I had to quit after a few weeks because of job, family etc.

One thing is, that the artist painted quite a lot of fake lighting to the original textures (also something what we would call ambient occlusion).
Please don't get me wrong.
I like your textures a lot, but by now there is in my opinion a lack of these things. Maybe consider to paint manually or render some lighting/shadows to get more depth.
I did a raytraced ao-pass of hole scenes, which was really really messy, complex and time-consuming
Maybe i can provide these ao-maps to you if you want.

I feel same as you, lack of ssao and shadows,its just a trick,because they have static camera and that time in early 2000's hasnt ssao setting in games, thats why they are just painted shadows.Btw old RE games is one of my favorite games, and cv is in 3d thats why start to mod it.That ssao techique i'll cant bring back, because i much more in modding of modern games.I'm hope that someone might help me in those shadows.
