Not trying to be rude tueidj but NV never stated it was untrue. He simply asked for you to show some proof that the dsp was still being used for something other than backwards compatibility. Which you still haven't done. Like NV I'm not saying it's true or not but I would like to see some source to back up your claim.
"I know, take my word for it" is not a source. You are also claiming that Marcan is a liar? Marcan said he got his info from actual wii u hacks. Got a source to back up your claim that he got it from SDK documentation?
Show me any spec mentioned in this thread that came from a more authoritative source than someone saying "I know, take my word for it".
Do you realize how stupid it is to turn this into an argument? What do I have to gain by making things up?
Jesus people here are idiots. tueidj worked on reverse engineering the Wii U and he has first hand experience with this stuff. I can also confirm that the DSP got at least a DRAM size upgrade according to the few UCodes I've seen.

Well maybe if someone had said this, it wouldn't sound like he was pulling things from thin air.

Agreed. How dare us non devs ask questions and try to be informed. We obviously wouldn't understand the answers anyway. We are nowhere near as smart and great as you.
@tueidj I wasn't trying to start an argument. I really don't even see how it came across that way. I never once said you where wrong; just wanted to see some proof of your claims. Simply saying " I was involved in reverse engineering the Wii U and have first hand experience with it. Delroth can back me up on that." would have been enough for most people, myself included.
It's unclear to me why somebody just don't understand or try to understand. tueidj clearly said that he looked at the code. I don't see why you guys don't trust him but trust another developer. It doesn't make sense to me at all.

He doesn't have forum stars so probably people thought he is some random guy on the internet.
It's not really the forum stars for me. I was just unfamiliar with his body of work. He could have also said "I'm a well known wii u hacker just google my name and you will see." We can't all just be expected to know everyone in the wii u hacking scene.
Also, occasionally people say that they've looked at the code of Dolphin, and think we should do thing X, where X is impossible in real life. When code is publicly visible somewhere, anyone can look at it, and make deductions that someone who knew what the code did would never make. Statistically, this kind of idiot is most likely to have little to no stars, and is the kind of person who'll expect their word about their assumptions to be taken as correct. Due to a coincidence, tueidj fits this latter description, despite not fitting the first.
Everyone has the right to not believe what other people say. It's natural. However, when you are making an argument, you need to have some knowledge, reference, etc. It's not appropriate to make an argument just because you don't believe someone especially when he has already explained where the information came from (in this case from reverse engineering/looking at the code).

In that case, who know the code better should clarify that. Not anyone who hasn't looked at the code.
