You'll need either a Wiimote + Motion Plus add-on either a Wiimote with built-in Motion Plus.
Recent Wiimotes with built-in Motion Plus ("TR" models) require Toshiba stack to work properly.
Also official Wiimotes are recommended since 3rd party ones usually suck

WRONG! The official Sensor Bar and the sensor bar connector at the back of Wii/WiiU outputs around 7.3 to 7.5V, so, USB gives a lower voltage supply than the Wii...
