I have a similar issue. My motion+ wiimote has worked fine with sports resort, until it crashed mid-game the other day. Now, it always shows whichever wiimote is player 1 as not having motion plus, even though its built in.

The good news: I have found a workaround.

When you are on the player selection screen, where it shows the wiimote as not being motion plus. Disconnect the wiimote using alt+f5, connect a nunchuck, then reconnect (again using alt+f5), it should then consecutively register the nunchuck and motion plus. I think sometimes I have to disconnect and reconnect the wiimote more than once before it registers both the nunchuck and motion plus, but this is how I have been playing resort golf for the past week with my friends.
Can confirm the above solution myself. Good job figuring out a consistent way to do it.
Kinda have the same problem, but strangely the game is playable without any problem of wiimotion+ on the 3.0-578, don't know why.
But for me it's more strange because on old rev like r7719 where it worked perfecly (I could even play Skyward Sword) the motion+ doesn't work anymore, so since the 3.0-578 works for me I keep it. Try it even if it's not the last in date.

Sweet. I'm glad my workaround helped someone out there, ha. I did test all other m+ games, and this problem persisted throughout them all.

On that note, I have found an actual fix, instead of the time wasting nunchuck workaround: In the dolphin Wiimote settings, for wiimote 1 select "hybrid" with accessory set to none instead of "real". This alleviates the issue altogether. After booting the game one time with Wiimote 1 set to "hybrid", I then set it back to "real", rebooted the game, and motion+ shows up automatically like it did before it crashed on me that day.

It looks like something got corrupted in the dolphin code when my game froze, and somehow going through these steps restored it.

Well, enjoy the fix! I will make a new thread for this as it pertains to any motion+ games, and not just sports resort.
Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but I'm having this exact problem. As soon as I start up the game, it says to connect the WiiMotion plus accessory. However, I'm using wiimotes with the motionplus accessory built in. I've tried the nunchuck trick mentioned in this thread, but no luck. Any solutions?

I've tried two different wiimotes. Both are authentic. I've tried connecting nunchucks and disconnecting / reconnecting the wiimotes. No dice. =(

Edit: hybrid trick seems to work.
I have exactly the same problem, I tried different versions of Dolphin. Wii Sports resort does not recognized the built in motion plus.

Conecting the nunchuck before lauching the game works but not all the time.

I hope someone or one of the Devs could provide a permanent solution.

This is happening with TR controllers, I bought mine 1 month ago.
i found a solution, verify if your driver was installed properly and if it's not, reinstall your HID driver: http://julianloehr.de/educational-work/hid-wiimote/

I switch my Driver(i guess),and my Motion Plus was Recognized in versions 4.x.x,but in other hands i can't use Glovepie in my computer
