I've been wondering this ever since i found out i could run with a 4200 that only has support for Directx 10.1
Quick answer: Sort of.
It works with directx10, as far as i know.
D3D11 is backwards compatible with some D3D10 GPUs, but you lose some features, such as D3D11 antialiasing.
D3D10.1 supports AA in the D3D11 backend, but not D3D10

Yep. Directx 10.1. Really need to get this upgraded with a 4570m though...
Been wondering the same thing, since my card does not even support 10.1..
Once we drop the d3d9 backend we can do away with the confusion by just renaming the D3D11 backend to Direct3D. That's in fact what's already done in my d3d9-removal branch.
That's even more confusing since it doesn't specify what versions of d3d are supported at all.....
People will immediately notice when their GPU is not supported once they try to use it.. :p

Ideally, the Dolphin code should be changed to not show the D3D backend on unsupported GPUs at all.
