@neobrain the author of CEN64 says this:

.. so what's the point of having plugins at all? Sounds to me like what Dolphin did, take a plugin interface and half-assedly remove it by just statically linking to the plugins instead of dynlinking. Just that Dolphin doesn't pretend to have a plugin interface anymore and nor does any effort of maintaining that interface, because it's useless.
Well, having clearly defined interfaces inside a piece of software is good. The problem with most emulators is that since they support plugins outside of their codebase, they can't change these interfaces when it would be needed. This then leads to code duplication where stuff that should be in a common part in the emulator is put inside all the plugins instead because the interface of the plugin can't change.

You're right. It doesn't have plugins from user perspective. In this case, he uses plug-in architecture only to enforce modularity. Thanks for the information.
i ran CEN64 @ 4.5ghz to test OOT. it ran a bit slow but easily still over 50% in framerate. (cinematics took forever though). No audio though yet. and it looked like crap.
ill try it again when skylake comes out & the emulator has matured a bit. still its already semi functional and thats amazing.
I just wish it didn't require SSSE3 so that I could actually run it XD
