I've been using Dolphin on Windows 8 (just upgrade to Windows 8.1) and no issues here whatsoever.
Alright. now for that update. 2 minutes after starting the latest Dolphin Emulator, the program crashes like a semi on the freeway after hitting a miles worth of black ice putting me right back to where I was when I originally made my first initial post. It crashes, computer says the program stopped running, closes, no error report and I get royally frustrated... again. Can ANYONE tell me what is up with this? I can't eeven get it to work in safe mode on compatibility settings running as admin. ANY help would be nice. Please, no "it works fine" stuff, because if it did, I wouldn't be here posting about the same thing after days of it crashing trying every possible option.
Enable Dual Core, put framelimit to auto, and turn off Limit by FPS. (if thats what you still have set up)
Also, post your settings from the graphics tab

Try these:
1) Update drivers, Windows updates, DirectX Web installer (may be missing some parts), and latest version of Visual C++
2) Make sure under Power Management in Windows you're running in High Performance. Also set a high performance profile under Nvidia Control Center
3) Use the OpenGL backend on one of the latest dev builds, as it is faster than D3D. The current dev build is 4.0-780
Sorry for the late reply. Had to work it in around work. No luck. Maybe there is just something with the type of computer I am using. Wouldn't be the first time it messed up an executable that didn't have issues elsewhere. I'll wait I upgrade then try again.

I am currently using Windows 8.1 and I have the latest version of Dolphin installed on my laptop. (4.0-3666) I load up a game. End the emulation and then try to reload it and the emulator crashes. I have no idea why this is. Please help.
