so does this mean that Dolphin is going to refuse to play nicely and run off of a flash drive? Or should it work if I keep saves and dolphin on the flash? Because its not. And that is irritating. Been trying to convert to keeping most all files/programs on flash drives to reduce clutter, but seems like everything wants to take up hard drive space instead.

Don't revive old threads please...

It's not that old, but yes, please make your own thread next time.
Have you created a blank .txt file called "portable.txt" in the Dolphin folder on your flash drive to make it save files there?

"my documents"/dolphin ?
and are your memory cards in
"my documents"/dolphin emulator/gc/ ?
if so make sure dolphin is closed and go to
"my documents"\Dolphin Emulator\Config\
and either delete Dolphin.ini (resets all main settings)
or open Dolphin.ini and remove the lines that start with
MemcardAPath
MemcardBPath
don't config the memcard from within dolphin and simply attempt to save in a game
--EDIT-- this should almost certainly fix the problem
Hello, sorry to bother you.
I have deleted Dolphin.ini (it does reset like usual) and I have tried to Delete the Specific Memcard lines, However, this does not fix the problem. The dolphin emulator refuses to make new Memorycard files.
Here are where my files are located:
Dolphin Emulator (file folder): C:\Users\me\Documents ;;; and thus the core files
I am using dolphin 4.0.2

Again, please don't necropost. Can people, like, not read?
Download the latest version. I don't think 4.0.2 is supported by the forums

Technically we support the latest stable release and recent dev builds, but the support we provide for 4.0.2 is limited to upgrade instructions in most cases, as it's almost always the cause of the problem.
