Xenmas you must not have played it on a console beforehand. What the hardware renderer puts out is vastly different from what the game actually looks like. A hell of a lot of games have to be played on software to get an accurate reproduction.
No. I played this game on PCSX2 only. It's true that the look of some games are different when using hardware mode. I think it's post processing effect. However, different doesn't always mean worse. I found that some games or some scenes looked awesome in hardware mode even if they were different from the renderings on the actual console. It depends on the player's preference.

as long as you can see what your doing and make out the landscape and play at a half decent speed thats all I need lol if theres glitches there glitches as long as it doesn't break the game
Just wondering. When you used hardware mode and had problems, did you try to use HW hacks? Many problems can be fixed. I hope at least you use FXAA in software mode. It improves the image quality a little bit.

if your talking to me then yes i used all that was necessary i like to experiment and found software just did a better job
