- Create a backup of your memcard.
- Use Memcard Manager to delete all Wind Waker saves.
- Load a save state then save the game.
I had been using the game to create a fresh new memcard instead of just deleting WW saves out of the existing one, but I just tried it, and upon loading it, it still says it's corrupted. Something about saving after I've loaded the save state corrupts it every time.
In that case, you need to wait for somebody to fix your corrupted save. The save state doesn't work even when using the same version of Dolphin?

But, just for giggles, here it is after loading my save state and immediately saving.
That's the corrupt memory card. I can't export your save file to a GCI. You said you successfully exported it and imported it but couldn't load it in game. If you could upload that GCI file, it'd make things a lot easier for me.

Now you're going to make me jump through hoops and do what you could've done if you read and did what I said.
Anyway I'll edit this post or reply to the thread when I've managed to fix it.

It works in the sense that I can load it from within the game. It doesn't work in the sense that any game save after that is corrupted. And, yes, that's even on the same machine.
I can't manage to save after loading the state. The game freezes after a while.
Then in case your game save can't be fixed, you can use save states and hope that they will not corrupt.

Sure, but I'll have to use an older version of Dolphin on the new laptop to load it. I guess that's alright though.
To avoid shit like this in the future, never use save states, especially when using HLE on a game like Wind Waker where the HLE is still super-broken.
But if he never used save states when the game save corrupted, it would be the end.

This happens because we don't save the memory card to the save states. It never seems to be a problem except in this game. One way to avoid it would be to go to the emulation menu, and start recording, because in that case, the memory card IS saved to the save state, but be careful because it will save the entire memory card, possibly overwriting save files belonging to other games.
