I've been taking my time playing through Wind Waker, and somewhere along the way, it started telling me my memory card was corrupted. So, I've just been loading my save state instead. I still do game saves (in addition to state saves); it doesn't complain about saving a game, just when loading the mem card file when the game starts. That's been working for me so far, but now I'd like to transfer my saved game to a new laptop, and I know transferring save states isn't recommended (it didn't work anyway - I tried). I tried loading the game, loading the save state, saving the game, immediately stopping the game and transferring the file MemorycardA.USA.raw to the new machine, but Dolphin on the new machine said it was corrupted too. I tried exporting just the Wind Waker save to a GCI file and importing that into a new memory card file, but then Dolphin doesn't seem to recognize my progress from the save state. I guess that means, even though there's no crash or error message about it, Dolphin/Wind Waker isn't really doing a game save at all. Any ideas what could have caused this and/or how to fix it? I've got four or five months worth of progress on my save state that isn't in the game save. I'm not opposed to using a hex editor or writing a utility to fix the files, if I know what I'm doing, but I wouldn't know where to start, since I don't know the format of these files or why this issue happened in the first place.
What version are you using, and what version are your save states from?
The old computer is using version 3.0-368-dirty. The new computer has version 3.5-367.
If anyone would be kind enough to play around with it and see if they can save a valid working memory card image after loading my save state, here it is.

Please and thank you.
Seems that you can“t get support here. Those two you mentioned are extremely old builds.

Upload your memory card or GCI file for me and I'll see what I can do.

Only the state save has my latest progress. See post #4 for that, if you want to try getting a game save out of it. I couldn't, or at least, I haven't figured out how yet.
Save states don't work on other revisions than the ones you made it with and it depends on what audio back-end you use; save states saved with LLE won't load when you use HLE and vice versa.
Anyway, didn't you already make a proper in-game save with that save state that you couldn't load? You also made a GCI file from your save game that you couldn't see when you imported it in your memory card either. Upload that GCI file.

I did manage to load the game save by first loading my save state then exporting to/importing from a GCI, but when I opened it, it didn't have my progress since this issue started, the 'corrupt memory card' issue that is. But, just for giggles, here it is after loading my save state and immediately saving.
What you should do is as follows:
- Create a backup of your memcard.
- Use Memcard Manager to delete all Wind Waker saves.
- Load a save state then save the game.
