Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

Does anyone know anything about this site: http://www.emulation64.com? Not only are they not linking to the correct official site (here: http://www.emulation64.com/files/info/195/ ), they also appear to have taken dolphin-emu.com and are redirecting that URL to their own site. Something should be done about this.

I used to enter there to download Dolphin before. I´m surprised that they are still linking to that loser´s (mamario) webpage...

It's not mamario's homepage, it's the homepage Dolphin initially started with. It died because no one maintained it.

And he is misusing it. People enter there and... (well, the rest was said before, so I better left this reply as is).

He has
Visit project homepage for further information and latest version of emulator.
listed under the news snipit and it does go to the right place. Lots of emulation sites house there own copies to download.

Yes, it has the correct link in the news post on the front page, but not on the Dolphin specific page: http://www.emulation64.com/files/info/195/. Where it says "Official Site" it links to the .com rather than the .org. The other link on that page to EmuTalk.net also uses the .com for their Dolphin board as well. Ideally these should both be changed to .org.

Well, I have an idea: Mamario only compile the stable releases now, and Dolphin 4.0.1 will be released soon to address the crash in SC mode issue right? What about adding an one-time popup with a notification saying that the official site is here (like the check for shall not be named.txt added some time ago)? To harden Mamario noticing, devs could commit this to Google Code with another change (without saying anything about the popup in changelog)...
